When I sing at grounds I sing to support my players. It's pathetic that entire crowds would rather sing about opposition players (including when those players aren't even there and events that actually helped their rivals but didn't affect them) than their own.

Cannot believe 5 disagrees to that hjikle, thankfully our most prominent songs are indeed about the glorious times of liverpool and the best players we've had rather than singing about the opposition. Pathetic is absolutely the correct word.

The Kop have a long history of songs about opposition players that are based on humor, it's what helped make us famous! if you don't understand that then. are you from Liverpool? i don't mean that as a nasty comment, it's just understanding "scouse humor" and rivalry.

It was just friendly funny football banter which has been part of the Kop for many years, not to be sung at every game but the next home game against ManU, even Rooney was making fun of the situation.
