How does klopp continue to escape blame? The penalty shootout was a joke, Milner our main penalty taker and vice captain doesn't take one, Henderson our captain and the same person that made a scene like a spoiled child when balotelli wouldn't let him take a pen last year was nowhere to be seen.

can our strikers not take penalties? Surely klopp has some say in who takes the pens, klopps decisions lately have been baffling to say the least, the same record as Roy hodgson and let's be honest Roy didn't get a chance to make the squad his own either, at least Brenda tried different things, klopp does the same things over and over and expects a different result, it's time he and some of his spineless players be held accountable for results.

Milner was up 5th, I'm sure you'd have castigated him had he taken a pen and missed though.

2.) 28 Feb 2016 22:29:34
Get your point about the pens as Milner and hendo should have taken 1. As for Hodgson, he bought Poulsen and konchesky. Enough said.

3.) 28 Feb 2016 22:42:13
No I wouldn't, players miss penalties it's part of the game, poor tactics though, the best penalty takers should be up before it's too late.

4.) 28 Feb 2016 22:59:36
Who says Hendo is a good penalty taker? Lucas and Lallana both scored against Stoke.

5.) 28 Feb 2016 23:21:06
Jesus this is scraping the barrell looking for things to complain about. Anyone that had the balls to take a pen deserves respect. Those players put themselves forward and had all scored pens previously so i have no problem with the takers. Milner would have taken the fifth. To moan about klopp is ridiculous you can't make a player take a pen if he's not up for it. So your question about strikers and hendo should be a question of their guts and not to vilify the ones who stepped up for us.

Spot on, cmac! Nothing but petulant knee jerk reactions to a game we lost on penalties vs a team that was better than us on paper but were so scared they would get a thumping again that they played deep and only caused us problems on the counter after we gifted them the first goal. City have a better team and better players than us but you wouldn't have known it in their first half where the game was pretty even but of course, someone always has to take the blame when we lose, even on penalties. No credit given to the players and manager for battling and going down swinging to a lottery type defeat. If a player doesn't feel like taking a pen, you can't make him. If a player is courageous enuff to take one, it means he feels he can score. No wonder Ed02 says we are the worst fans at backing our own players and manager. Pathetic!

7.) 29 Feb 2016 02:11:33
well said redohio, i'm embarrassed by some of the comments on here about basically getting rid of half the team and the manager because we lost in the final. if we stuff city in the next game will the city fans ask for half their team to be sold?

8.) 29 Feb 2016 04:32:28
so no credit to willy cabellero whatsoever? real cheap man bashing our own mate. didn't he saved those. only coutinho hit it badly rest were well saved.

9.) 29 Feb 2016 04:35:05
Not Klopp's fault - you ask players who wants a pen and go with that. Because Origi and Henderson didn't want it reflects on their characters rather than Klopp's.

Anyone else think that Gerrard gave the ball away far to often today?

The media (sky, bt, etc) are blaming klopp so nobody talks about their role in all this, tv scheduling put us playing Wednesday night, Saturday morning, Tuesday night and Friday night which gives virtually no recovery time, could things have been different if we played Saturday afternoon, Saturday afternoon and Tuesday night?
