We rejected £30m or £35m when Parry screwed up Gerrard's contract in 2005. But that was 2005, and £30-£35m was the highest fee paid for anyone (Essien to Chelsea) that season.

We will never have a midfielder as good as Gerrard it’s near impossible but I do have high hopes for Trent in that position. Good to see Elliot also doing well for u21’s hope he keeps improving.
