Chelsea looked good for first 10 x matches but dropped points today v Burnley Until they post a 95+ point season they are still good team but unproven title contenders what you think?

Unfortunately they have a very good coach and will be very much up there this season and could win it. They have a very good squad as do Citeh and both are a little depper than ours currently. We will be up there too but could be scuppered by injuries again. However fingers crossed we may add one or two in January.

They are a squad full of quality with a very good manager, no team will win every game, they will be right up there at the end of the season.

They have a lot of quality in their squad but they are playing above their expected wins so I think they will start to drop more points as they have been riding their luck.

The same thing that is one of their major strengths, the abilities of their manager Tuchel, is also a major weakness. He has this tendency to self-destruct after a while; we've seen it at his last two clubs. No doubt at all they have a very good squad. But what's a very good squad worth without a stable and cohérent manager? Look at ManU.

Are there 2 main strikers injured? They had enough chances to win the game by all accounts. They probably win that if the other are on the pitch.

I’m just glad that Burnley did to them what they’ve done to us over the years. Important thing is taking care of business today.

I think it’s hard to predict what points tally is needed to win the league as football is unpredictable especially in this day and age where there is quality in so many teams. Any team can beat any other on the day, it’s just most teams don’t have the consistency to maintain that standard over a few weeks/ months let alone a season.

After all who would have predicted that Palace would beat City or Brentford would expose us so much and then go on to lose to Norwich etc.

For me Due to consistency there’s only 3 teams capable of winning the league this season but you can bet that the other 17 teams will all play a part in deciding where the title ends up.

Nobody knows what will happen as it will be a long, gruesome and extremely competitive season for the title favs. As for points tallies, nobody can predict a winning tally either cos we didn’t know we could get near 100 points in both those memorable season from the off till they actually happened so let’s pump te brakes on that and let things unfold.

As for Chelsea, it was a bad day at the office just like we have had a couple of times this season so I don’t take any long term narratives from their result vs Burnley cos they could have put 3 past them in the first half and this becomes a non issue. it’s early in the season and they will be a real threat regardless of whatever flaws they have in their team.

Chelsea should have won that yesterday, they had the chances! Having said that Burnley could have nicked it in the end.

I fully expect them to be up those this season, especially as they are not conceding many goals.

Chelsea not at our level or City's. I think they'll fall away and finish 3rd. Should have killed it off yesterday then Burnley had two decent chances to win it at the end.

We’ve been hit quite badly with injuries thus far and that is where i lay the blame for the 6 points we’ve dropped that we shouldn’t have done. Centre backs are still finding their feet after last season, Milner got ripped apart in the City game covering for Trent and Neco, Brighton and Brentford we lost control of the midfield in the second half of both matches because our midfield is constantly being chopped and changed due to injuries. It doesn’t really feel as if there’s much Klopp can do about any of it right now, apart from dropping Robertson for Tsimikas. Despite the disappointing draws we remain only 4 points behind Chelsea with a game in hand. They have a very deep squad but losing their premier forwards will start to hurt them eventually; maybe this is the start of a bumpy patch for them? It’s been pretty much plain sailing so far but something tells me that will not last. That said it only matters if we keep up the pace and if we draw AGAIN to west ham today i’ll honestly flip my lid as the draws are really starting to worry me.
