Hi Eds sorry if already covered but are we likely to look for another CM due to Henderson's on going injury issues? Personally not convinced Stewart is ready to step up. Thanks in advance.

Redluke

{Ed001's Note - Can is the cover there, we have Grujic to cover the advanced positions.}

1.) 03 Apr 2017 08:33:45
Do you expect to see grujic between now and the end of the season a bit more considering injuries to our midfield.

{Ed001's Note - depends, he has missed out due to injury in the past, he has to stay fit first.}

So if Chelski win their two games in hand will a point against them next week be enough to secure top 4? Think it could come down to a win at Brighton. 🤞 it won't though and we can get it done next week.

1.) 28 Apr 2018 18:06:30
All I know is that we shouldn’t rely upon others results. We have to beat Chelsea and put an end to the matter.

2.) 28 Apr 2018 18:13:45
If we draw our next two games or win atleast one then we'll finish 4th.

Obviously if Chelsea drop points elsewhere then that'll change things.

Aslong as we avoid defeat to Chelsea we shouldn't need to panic.

3.) 28 Apr 2018 18:15:26
If we scrape past Roma and get no further injuries, then we might as well go all out against Chelsea and at least get a point. That way it’s pretty much done, and I reckon if we did go all out against them we’d beat them. I think we’ll play it risky though and do it the hard way, leaving it to the last game against brighton and probably playing the same team we played today against Roma.

4.) 28 Apr 2018 18:29:23
No way is today's team going to play Roma Kman. Moreno, klavan, Ings and probably Gomez will drop to the bench.

5.) 28 Apr 2018 19:00:20
I wouldn't even have gomez on the bench against roma the lad had been poor in the past few games his positional sense is pretty poor at the moment an probably needs a break.

6.) 28 Apr 2018 19:22:28
If anything I see us playing the same formation which I don’t think is a winning one. It’ll probably just about get us through though.

7.) 28 Apr 2018 19:23:42
A point against Chelsea will be enough, unless they can score 9-10 goals in both of their other games.

8.) 28 Apr 2018 19:24:37
Truthhurts, he hasn't been great, but he's infinitely better than Clyne.

9.) 28 Apr 2018 19:25:05
I am a big fan of gomez but of late he has been poor. I am sure he will come back strong.

10.) 28 Apr 2018 19:37:37
Truthhurts, a break is the last thing he needs and I don't think that'd do his confidence any good. He needs more time that's all, him or Clyne? it's a no brainer.

11.) 28 Apr 2018 19:57:32
Has anyone even notice that Gomez just came back from injury and is short of game and match fitness or are we going to keep acting like all that never happened.?

As for top 4, everything is in our hands, plain and simple. Chelsea just beat Swansea (just barely cos they were dire so it's a 6 point gap with 3 to go for them. If we get a point against them, it's all over cos even if they win the other two games, and we even draw Brighton, we get top 4 on GD cos I don't know where Chelsea will find 17 goals to match the GD gap we have over them. All that said, we need to focus on Rome and Rome only. The top 4 will take care of itself esp. cos just like in this semi final, IT ALL DEPENDS ON US.

12.) 28 Apr 2018 20:09:42
BRover Chelsea were dire but they didn't get any injuries and that's what counts 😉.

13.) 28 Apr 2018 20:43:11
We have to field our front 3 against Roma and Chelsea. If they play then by the end of next weekend the chances of us being in the CL final and guaranteed top 4 will be extremely high. When any 1 of that front 3 doesn't play they don't look like the unstoppable force they do when they play together. And that is not an insult to them individually.

14.) 28 Apr 2018 22:21:00
Totally agree mate. we really missed mane today with his direct running and pace.

15.) 29 Apr 2018 08:41:54
Nice one, Jayden.

07 Apr 2018 19:57:59
Well of course I didn't want United to win but I'm hoping that cities confidence is low going in to Tuesday and they have to try and take something of spuds next weekend. win win.

1.) 08 Apr 2018 08:48:25
haha hoping! but doubt it, these guys can chop and change their mood between different comps. look at arsenal and us in europa league couple seasons ago, manU last season. just how it is.

City will be up for it, and so will we!

11 Mar 2018 08:13:36
Ed 1 if you are about mate. is there a reason that Hendo isn't getting a game at the moment? Generally we are better with him in the team imo.

Redluke

{Ed001's Note - he is getting a game.}

1.) 11 Mar 2018 08:39:17
Why he played 90 mins in a dead rubber match in the week with a huge game just a few days later just didn’t make sense! He should have been saved for Old Trafford in my opinion. It was a poor decision.

2.) 11 Mar 2018 09:25:02
I wonder if it's a fitness thing or generally just a rotation thing? I was hoping to see him play yesterday because I think he'd of made a huge difference in the middle but I'm not going to bash Klopp for it, he knows more then me.

3.) 11 Mar 2018 10:18:12
I was going to raise this, especially after the chat I had with Ed1 the other day. Has Can overtaken Hendo in the pecking order or is it just Hendo's injuries being managed? Perhaps He had a set back after the Porto game, Can being picked before him is one thing but Milner as well? That was an odd choice.

4.) 11 Mar 2018 10:49:28
Hendo limped off the pitch after Potto, had a dead leg. I presume he wasn't fit enough to start yesterday because of it.

5.) 11 Mar 2018 10:58:49
Wasn't Hendo clutching his leg against Porto? Maybe Klopp was just being cautious with his fitness.
However, he should not have played against Porto in the first place. That tie was over in Portugal itself.

6.) 11 Mar 2018 11:30:53
the commentator said he had a dead leg. i don't think we have anyone better than Hendo in #6 position. Can is ok but nothing spectacular about him.

7.) 11 Mar 2018 11:44:48
We killed momentum midweek. Should've played the full team and smashed them 4-0.

8.) 11 Mar 2018 13:22:59
If he was injured or not fit to play then why was he taking a position on the bench?

9.) 11 Mar 2018 16:15:43
We missed Hendo! Take it from me! We bloody missed him yesterday. Not a single player could pass a football yesterday! Klopp shouldn’t have played Henderson against Porto! Big mistake!

10.) 11 Mar 2018 16:26:52
People need to realise how important Hendo is to our team.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 19:18:39

3.) 05 Jan 2018 19:20:48
Oh Ed025 you must have had them Southern Comfort goggles on😁.

{Ed025's Note - he does nothing for me barry...maybe if he wore a basque and sussies it would be different mate.. :)

4.) 05 Jan 2018 19:28:15
Cheeky £5 on him first goal at 25/ 1.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 19:07:36
Van Dijk and Matip together scares the life out of me.

Hope it works and we get a great win tonight. Also hope Lovren or Klavan is back for City.

Have a great night all.

Hopefully no new injuries from the internationals, we'll be a lot stronger then. Anyone any idea when Clynes back?

2.) 28 Oct 2017 20:54:30
After the international break i would guess. a week or two after Lallana and Mane.

Yeah and to be fair he left with class. can't blame him for taking that money. he can be replaced however I think he will be a very very good player in the Italian league. good luck Emre YNWA.

Jesus. anyone would think we were battling relegation. the lads have worked so hard this season and played a lot of football. Injuries have come at the wrong time and klopp has not been able to rest anyone really. Roma over two legs were not the better team and we deserve our place in the final. The lads need to pick themselves up for Sunday and get the job done and then play the fringe and kids against Brighton so that first 11 are super fresh for Kiev.
Yes Madrid will be the favourites but I've seen enough of them this season to know that we can punish them. We just have to handle the occasion which will be a big test for our relatively young team. This is a one off game and if we bring out best there is no reason we can't pick up number 6.

Unfortunately I don't think either of them are good enough. we need to sign a striker who is happy to play second fiddle to Bobby but still decent enough to play the football Klopp demands.
