Ed1 if you are about what are thoughts on this midfield mass exodus. Do you think we may have gone a bit mad with it letting so many go at once? Just a bit concerned it could go wrong. What are thoughts?

If they aren’t good enough let them go. Would have kept Hendo as a squad player to have around to keep standards up now Milly has gone but all the rest including Fab it was time to go. Need to do the same with either Matip or Gomez now as well.
All I think we need is a slightly more experienced player for the CM/ DM positions alongside Lavia and we will be fine.

Personally think it could be an opportunity for others to fill the void. If Milner left but not hendo, hendo would continue the role, sure. But with both gone, someone is going to want that position and it might cause 2/ 3 to step up, the likes of Robbo, vvd and Trent of course, but maybe others might too. Build more leaders in the team.

LFC 8 and Alonso in fairness lads I didn’t really say we needed a new midfielder as I was pretty much on the fence with it. But I remember loads of posters were shot down for it.
On the subject of hotels I’ve actually got one booked for the Bournemouth game so more than welcome for a beer LFC 8 and Alonso.
No doubts you’ll be at the game thunderbird so looking forward to seeing you also for some quadruple love in.

Remember the outcry for a new midfield last summer and we definitely needed reinforcements for ox and naby but pretty sure none of expected it to have to be for hendo and fab also. Hendo still has a couple of years left in him and fab had had a really bad season by his standards last season but the year before he was quality. Sure we all expected Bellingham in too.
It is what it is now. Slob and mac are quality additions but not convinced on lavia and we still need another after we get lavia. also people going on about matip and gomez. agreed but I'm not sure vvd is still top level. If the midfield was started last year we'd be in a much stronger position and have champions league also. But overall still excited.

Obviously I would like to win everything, but I think we'll come away with at least one major trophy this year. I suspect we'll be competing for the league with City and Chelsea, you could flip a coin on who will win it out of those 3.
The champions league will be interesting. I don't expect much from Barcelona, but the Madrid teams will be strong. I've no idea what to expect from the Italian teams, they've made a lot of changes and lost big players like Lukaku and Ronaldo. Chelsea and City are last years finalists, both have made changes and spent a lot of money, plus as much as I hate to say it, Ronaldo will make a big difference in United's champions league games for sure. We've got a fully recovered squad and that squad won it last time they were all fit. Then there is PSG who are as strong as they'll ever be - I really hope they don't win it.
The FA Cup we've not won for a while, it would be nice to win it again to be honest. I suspect we won't take it too seriously and likely end up out before the semi's.
League Cup - Again it would be nice to win it as it's a trophy, but I'm not sure we'll take it that seriously.

An English team or psg will win the CL I think that's pretty much nailed on in my opinion and I think we can do it, I really do but at the same time it wouldn't surprise me in the least if city or psg win it. I'm more confident in winning the CL than the PL. Bring it on, bring any team on, with our defence and keeper, god help attackers. It's not a big deal, we're laughing we're just lacking forward options that's all and that's fine, give the youngsters the chances they deserve.

Unfortunately they have a very good coach and will be very much up there this season and could win it. They have a very good squad as do Citeh and both are a little depper than ours currently. We will be up there too but could be scuppered by injuries again. However fingers crossed we may add one or two in January.
