Good afternoon all

Wow! Just Wow! We are the Champions of Europe again! Six times!

Almost felt like we scored to early and changed the whole game in terms of us sitting back after the early goal.

Anyhow we got over the line. It's done.

Maureen has said last night that LFC were Pragmatic and Final was not good, we had 35% possession we are the first winners since 2010 not to have majority of possession, the last team to do this was Inter Milan in 2010 and try and guess who managed Inter then? MAUREEN the HYPOCRITE"!

It was actually very strange watching Mourinho sitting next to, and agreeing with, his arch nemesis Arsene Wenger. Mourinho strikes me as the perfect survivor, the chameleon, who'll say and do anything to survive and look good at the moment.

That final is literally a mourinho dream performance. We defended beautifully to limit the chances they have to half chances that Alisson is there to deal with.

{Ed025's Note - thats one way of looking at it i suppose beef..

it could of be dissected for years if we had of lost but we didn't. champions of Europe. 6 times.

ndombele, james and de ligt for me. go win the league.

mourinho didn't denigrate the performance at all. he said it was pragmatic not pathetic. the mourinho hate-fest is getting embarrassing. He has been nothing but complimentary to klopp and the club in the build-up.

He's right in many respects - it was exceptionally pragmatic. It didn't make a great game for the neutral, but by not pushing our fullbacks forward once we'd scored, we ensured they didn't have many chances that Alisson couldn't deal with, while hoping we'd be able to nick one without taking too much risk to close out the game, and that's exactly what happened.

With so much on the line, it was the pragmatic thing to do. No need to take more risk that necessary in the final. It doesn't make Liverpool undeserving winners, or an unexciting team to watch (as we saw from the Barcelona return leg), so savour the win and let's look forward to pushing on next season.

He won't accept the goal we scored in semi final of Euro Cup in 2005, i think that is more embarrassing!, i have never heard of a Liverpool Fan Club for Maureen are you its Founder and ONLY follower?

Change ye poster name to FaithinMAUREEN it would be more apt for your leanings?

Faithworks, nobody is doing a hate-fest on Mou. They are only pointing out his hypocrisy, end of. Yes, Klopp's pragmatism did not make the game look good BUT Mou is the same guy that has been lecturing us for years as to how a final is only great IF you win and employed the same pragmatic tactics to win his finals.

Now that Klopp has won HIS way, he is now lecturing us again as to why Klopp's pragmatism (something Mou made his career on basically) was not good for the game. If you don't see the rank hypocrisy there then that is your choice and yours alone and him being complimentary to Klopp in the past or of recent, does not remove the fact that on this point, he is a rank hypocrite. Cheers, mate.

Mourinho remarks are being taken out of context. Actually what he's saying is more like a compliment. It's how he used to win. He said that if it was a PL game people would have thought it was not good. He's right because nobody wants to play great football if it means coming away empty handed. Klopp and the team should be congratulated because of the maturity they show in learning how to win. He's shown that he does have a plan B after all. And it works!

Both sets of players were knackered. It was plain to see. Both teams had given everything to a, reach the final and b, finish as high in thr table as possible. Both yeams had massive reason for pushing in the league to the final whistle. It showed.

Liverpool were good enough to defend the lead and were clinical when it mattered.

And to think i was calling for origi to be sold asap. How wrong was i. I hope he finishes his career at liverpool. We have a fab 4 again. He has to be included in europes best attacking unit.

I trust whoever Klopp and the team want to sign but James and De Ligt aren’t what we need. We spent a fortune on VVD and why spend the same on De Ligt afternone very good season?

12.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 16:00:26
James gives pace on the wings and is a very good prospect, provide real cover for mane most of all. Shaq for Salah and origi for firmino.

de ligt is as good as Gomez but stays fit. been playing well since his debut dude, not just this season. his quality got Sanchez a 40mil move to spurs. he is a rock with vvd and that's exact reason right there. the Netherlands cb partnership for the next 10 year's, club and country.

ndombele because I prefer fabinho a little higher, pressing. he's a boss and last night showed midfield is probably our weakest point and full backs.

weakest doesn't mean the players we have are poor but out of the whole team it's the less equipped department.

{Ed001's Note - he was awful last season, Sanchez was the better of the two and he was poor. Not sure you have actually seen de Ligt play or just read the ridiculous hype. He gets carried by VVD in a poor level of football, as international stuff is terrible. Gomez is a much better defender.}

13.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 16:35:46
agree to disagree ed. Get banned whenever we argue haha.

I like him. What he's got at 19 is I credible stuff. imagine him over the next year's.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but he can't defend, he will be found out in a top league just like Sanchez has.}

14.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 16:50:32
I just don’t get this de Ligt hype whatsoever. Gomez is leagues ahead of him already, and was fostering a genuinely world class partnership with Big Virg before he got injured.
I honestly think a lot of the de Ligt hype has come from opposition fans and FIFA players who are desperate to have a defender who can ‘compete’ with VVD for the title of world’s best defender. Never going to happen.
VVD’s overall game is better than all those Barca/ Real/ Atletico/ Juve fraud CBs combined.

{Ed002's Note - Why would they be "fraud" CBs? What does that mean? Have they ever behaved anything like as badly as van Dyke? Cretin.}

15.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 16:56:47
Kloppsboss I'm still trying to figure out which James you meant seeing as you said "pace on the wings". Neither Maddison or Rodrigues is pacey or primarily a winger. Rodrigues in particular isn't fast at all. Reece James maybe? he's a good prospect but a full back. Baffling.

Ndombele to free up Fabinho further forward? have you actually watched Ndombele? surely you've got that the wrong way round. Fabinho is the better of the two at CDM, Ndombele the better of the two going forwards.

16.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 17:39:53
Daniel James.

ndombele is a great anchor and fabinho is imperious when pressing higher! this dm stuff. I just said ndom behind fabinho he doesn't have to sit on vvd to do that.

{Ed001's Note - Ndombele is not really a DM, he is a bit similar to Kante, he needs to be allowed to get up the pitch as well. They are just central midfielders, they do not sit and hold like a DM, nor are they good playing behind a midfield. They need to be right in the mix. As Leicester said in the title season, he played both sides of Drinkwater in the centre. Making them sit deep and cover the defence takes out their main quality - mobility.}

17.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 18:28:20
old fashioned cms then. can do the lot.

would be formidable, but not really a debate. Ndombele is not joining haha

Do you have any idea where we are at with transfer ed, should we expect much?

18.) 02 Jun 2019
02 Jun 2019 19:17:33
Daniel James? the young swansea lad? Haven't watched them play enough to have a solid opinion but for those that have, is he actually good enough? just seems like he had a decent game against city.
