Seems we have turned from a goal scoring machine to a points earning machine.
Give me 3 points over 3 goals any day.
Top of the league and people are moaning lol.

Lol bizarre isn't it mikey mate. I'm delighted, I couldn't be happier, if we win 1-0 every game and win the league will we still have the moaners? probably.

After 9 games last season we had 13 points and conceded 16 goals we certainly weren’t blitzing teams his time last year. Hopefully we can stay on city’s coat tails get through our champions league by winning the next 3 games and hopefully it will start to click again.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people having a little moan at our performances. After all it is their own opinion. And the ones who are now saying they don’t care about performances just results are probably the same people who have slaughtered Mourinho the last few years for the exact same thing.

Because each and every week we have slowly been riding our luck a little more.

Chelsea we lost, Chelsea we got so lucky sturridge pulled that banger out, lost to napoli, drew to city thanks to mahrez, beat hudderfields and just about (not that there not a good team) but we could of easily lost.

That's 5 games. People aren't to concerned because there good teams in there but we could of very easily had 5 loses.

I don't like riding your luck this much. I don't mind 15 even 30 minutes a game but want to see control at least for the rest of it.

This reminds me of England in the world cup, getting the results but just not really deserving any.

We shouldn't just wash over the fact that we are showing absolutely zero fluidity. That front line look like they are all new signings. The team are struggling with 5 yard passes.

If this continues I think teams will lose this fear they have against us.

I'm not saying were done, or ungrateful for were we are.

But I hope there's lots of work getting done at melwood, or there well aware of why things are like they are that were not privy to. Like fitness issues or what not.

JK23 and Kloppsboss, as much as I agree that we should care about the way we play and perform, what we are missing is context within our performances. There are issues with our play up top and that much is clear BUT people seem to want to have it both ways. On one hand, people want us to play this swash-buckling style and score loads of goals.

On the other hand, they want us to "manage games better" and "sometimes, keep it tight at the bacl". Sorry, you're going to have to make up your mind cos you CANNOT do both at the same time. Maybe City can BUT City are much better than us individually so saying we should play like them is ludicrous. Klopp has chosen pragmatism over idealism and that is that nd we're going to have to deal with that for the time being.

Now, do we cos of that, excuse the way we are playing up top? NO. We must improve for sure BUT what does my head is is that we all knew the the circumstances under which we played with injuries and squad selection YET people still want to dwell on the fact that we did not put 4 past Hudd. We won and that is what matters for now in the hope that we will have better days. I'm good till then. YNWA!

Fair play to Huddersfield, they did a "liverpool of last year on us" didn't give us a minutes rest. The fans were brilliant.

You're bang on guys, I'd rather be 1 0 than 3 3. Our defence was poor before the winter window but now it's class. People don't score against Liverpool unless your name is hazard.

Nobody is moaning, people are concerned about how we have played this season so far. If we continue to play this way and carry on winning then everyone on here will be ecstatic, but logic dictates that if your not scoring many then games can be drawn and points lost. Why if people show they are worried there may be underlying factors to not playing well that they're moaning? , flip that and your being overly optimistic saying we're not playing well but winning.

As far as I've read, every poster is right behind the team but can see what's coming if we continue to play this way, watch klopp on the touchline he's fuming at the sloppy passes and lacklustre displays, he's showing what some of us are seeing and commenting on on here. We play the way we have so far for the rest of the season and we win nothing, were already out of one cup playing this way.

Bang on Squizza, we were a disaster this time last year. Already out of the title race.

We only had one shot on target. Luckily it was the best player in the league who took the shot.

What's the issue lads? Grinding out results is a very good sign, especially when you really haven't got going. Your front three will come into form, Fabinho and Keita will settle in the coming months and you'll play football the way you were doing last season. If i remember correctly, Ed001 was saying you're not pressing as much due to lacking energy towards end of the season, that's maybe why you're not playing with the same intensity so far. You'll be there end of the season with City and Chelsea, so enjoy the season really, though i really really hope u don't win it (red tinted glasses back on lol) .

Spot on Waro, Klopp said it again in his interview - we have a lot of work to do.
We are riding our luck to a degree, that thumping shot which struck the post could easily have changed the result, then it would have been carnage on here.

Where not trying to defend though, we are and we are doing it well but the game plan is to get on the ball and control the game.

The only game we set out to defend was napoli. I think.

Other than that we have conceeded lots of chances, not making 5 yard passes. Not enough authority or control of the ball, lazy play, unsynced pressing, getting beat to loose balls. Then we do have vvd and Alison, who for what we paid should keep the ball out of the net 🤣

A defensive team doesn't give up chances. We are but were handling it. That's the difference and why there is concern.

A lot of good points in here.

Personally, I think we look a bit tired after that run of games where Klopp stuck with his 1st 11 to kick off the season (to allow others to bed in over time) . The inability to make the right decisions at crucial times in the final third, hoofing the ball out from back to front, uncoordinated pressing etc. are all symptoms of tired feet and brains.

To be fair, Klopp changed it up (or was forced to change it up) for Huddersfield, and that brought a different set of issues.

I feel that, once we start using the squad more effectively, we'll find that 3rd and 4th gear. Meanwhile we're right up there, so all good for now.

Kloppsboss, "conceded lots of chances"? "a defensive team does not give up chances"? Clearly, you never played the game. First, we are not a defensive team. Second, Utd park the bus half the time and still concede way more chances than we do so both of your those points are patently false. Did I also mention LFC is second in shots on target conceded with 22 (City is 1st with 17)? In fact, a lot of what you posted is not true. LFC tried to defend and Klopp said so after the game as a plan to deal with Huddersfield's press so we can hit them on the break, something that could have worked had we not been poor up top.

And btw, we DID control the game as they had only one shot on target and the shot they did hit was outside of the post with Allison on top of the shot. I'm not saying we were great. Far from it. What I'm saying is that people should be measured in their assessment and stop kicking up a fuss cos we did not score 4, esp. with 4 of your starters being out at kickoff. We did what needed to be done and we got the 3 points, JOB DONE as we hope for better days ahead. On to Red Star!
