Nah, I realised that last week. All the talk about concussion was obviously covering tracks. And let's be honest. Liverpool (these days) are a highly professional out fit. I can't see them dropping an asset for one bad game, albeit a massive one. And if we're honest, he did have a good season bar that one game.

I would rather we sign oblak or allison. But, if its a choice between butland, celle son or Karius we may as well go with karius.

Comments from people like Prince Hendo defy belief. Karius was diagnosed with concussion from a highly regarded doctor in the US, it has nothing to do with covering tracks. Concussion isn't something you can fake, it is a serious brain injury and idiotic ill informed comments like this is why football doesn't take it seriously.

What would be the point in not signing a keeper?
Conceding the league and any trophy before a ball is even kicked is not our style. I can't see it happening we will get one and anyone is better than Him.

Sorry but karius did not have a great season. Regardless of the final and the mistakes made then, he was nothing more than adequate for a portion of the season.
We need an upgrade urgently.
If he stays I really hope he has a blinder and we win silverware.
The negative in me sees him as the reason klopp will be gone by seasons end.

The way I see it. Unless we are bringing in Oblak, then we stick with Karius and Ward, since none of the others are better and in the case of Navas and Cillessen they’re actually worse.

Serious brain injury? It's mild concussion. He got an elbow in the head. It happens in every game of football but you don't hear other clubs saying their player was concussed. Before you shoot me down, I know it's a head injury and for that reason shouldn't be taken lightly but he was hardly hit by a car was he? If he was that wobbly then he should have come off. The truth is he made shocking mistakes, keepers get clobbered week in week out, its part of the job. But, he did have a decent season and I would say he had pretty much won round most supporters by that final. He's not amazing but butland and this Barcelona reserve aren't any better.

And yes I did watch Liverpool last season. Every game bar 1 or 2. Karius was pretty good. He made some great saves and kept lots of clean sheets. It even got to the point where I actually had faith that our keeper might save z one on one. Okay I'm easily pleased after migs but Karius was far from terrible langland, what games did you watch?

He was terrible in the ucl final but apart from that he didn't have many "terrible games" he didn't have many blinders either but neither did butland and celle son barely played. If it's a choice of those three then save 30mil and keep Karius. Put the money towards a serious asensio bid.

Repeated concussions lead to CTE, a form of brain damage.
Not every contact to the head results in a concussion. I have seen NFL players take a helmet direct to the head and they are fine, I have seen other players take a glancing blow and they are out for weeks.
Name one player that would leave the field willingly, Karius probably didn't even know anything was wrong, professional athletes need to be protected from themselves.
To claim this whole thing is a fabrication is ridiculous.

Fair enough dexter. He was seen by 20 doctors. 16 said he had mild concussion and 4, who all did 8 years medical school too, said he didn't have even mild concussion. That tells me it was pretty mild. As a kid who played football non stop I was always being dragged down to a and e for mild concussion, its not that serious. If he was throwing up by the goal post then you'd think it was serious but its not like Mike tyson got him with a left hook. Karius wasn't stood their all out of his face. It was making excuses, trying go protect the lad which is admirable in a way. So fair enough but it was a bit sour grapes.

But I'm here saying I'm okay with him being given a chance again. It's the media that said "it's the end of Karius" but I've come to think it isn't. I think we should always be trying to sign better players but I don't think klopp and liverpool are likely to ditch him completely coz of one poor game and a lot of media pressure.

And Ron, good man but butland isn't any better than Karius. He can't even get a game coz of pickford who is well over rated. I'd support Jack if we signed him and I'll support Karius if we stick with him.

I don’t think Pickford is a better keeper than Butland but Pickford is certainly a better keeper than Karius.
Pickford plays over Butland for England but that doesn’t mean Pickford is necessarily better, he just might suit Southgate’s system more than Butland. Perhaps it’s just a case of Pickford being the man in possession and he hasn’t done anything to lose his place yet?

The chelsea keeper came off after head injury this past season. It happens a lot unfortunately it's just our club use it to protect the player and our thin reputation.
