Morning EDS,

Do you know if the club have received any interest in signing or loaning Sakho in the last 2 weeks or so? I am aware of what you have stated about interest previously and that we have out priced him to potential suitors.

If he is not sold or loaned out by September 01st, how will his season pan out as it seems he certainly won't be included in the squad? Will he play in the reserve games etc? or do you think a deal will eventually be done?

Best Regards.

{Ed001's Note - his injury is keeping interest down mate. He will have to play for the reserves if no deal is done, though I suspect we will find a way to get him out, even if only on loan.}

1.) 09 Aug 2017 07:45:05
We seem to be between a rock and a hard place with him being injured especially with the price we have put on his head, maybe the club need to lower there expectations a little bit?

Do you know when he potentially could be ready for first team competitive football?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

2.) 09 Aug 2017 08:03:27
Thanks ED.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

3.) 09 Aug 2017 12:10:25
I know it has been done to death, and I don't full know what happened behind the scenes or in front of the cameras that made his and klopps relationship break down, but it still seems like biting your nose of to spite your face. He is arguably our best centre back (in my opinion he is) and would be a very welcome addition to the squad without spending a penny. We are thinking of spending £50M on VVD, but I am sure if you offered Klopp £10M to forget whatever happened it could all be solved!

Won't happen so don't shoot me just thinking and writing.

4.) 09 Aug 2017 12:50:54
we offered Klopp £10M to forget whatever happened is the daftest thing I have heard on here ever. and he is not that good plus he is trouble just take the £20m people are offering job done.

5.) 09 Aug 2017 13:06:34
I think simply offering someone money to forget something happened is bribery! It would mean that there is no integrity left at the club. Not that there is a lot at the moment.

6.) 09 Aug 2017 13:58:36
Klopps professional conduct regarding transfers this summer make Sahkos transgressions seem insignificant.

Klopp should take a look at his own behaviour and consider giving Sakho another chance in the first team squad,

At least the player is then in the shop window, not whiling away his large contract in the reserves.

A blindman could see this was better for the club from a financial perspective,

Whats the worst that could happen?

That Sahko doesn't take his chance and we wnd up back where we are now.

But if he takes his chance he could be worth 50 million.

Its unthinkable that this option hasn't been discussed,

But nothing surprises me about the LFC hierarchy these days.

7.) 09 Aug 2017 15:24:51
In the know then LFCder?

Do you know the full circumstances?

Come on, do tell!

8.) 09 Aug 2017 15:28:01
what is it with fans and sakho being are best defender the same fans that say VVd is not that good. am all for support your players but saying there better than they are is just stupid that's why we do not win any thing overhyped players getting paid to much money. Lucas was another one was not good enough but at least he was a model professional Sakho is just trouble and not worth the space in the squad. bamby on ice just another Balotelli but without the talent.

Good afternoon ED001

I have done a search but found no updates on the Gary "Pitbull" Medel rumours that surfaced a couple of days ago, and I was wondering if you did that triple check to find out?

I very rarely write in about rumours, but this would be the coup of the summer, if true that is?

Thanks in advance Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I am still waiting to hear back, he is another one that we have not been tracking, so it would be a spur of the moment move if we are trying to get him. Similar to Wijnaldum. Hopefully Klopp's spur of the moment purchases are better than mine.}

1.) 20 Jul 2016 15:43:56
Thanks for your reply mate

I really hope it happens, but can't help but think it is just another name that has been randomly pulled out of the bag by the red tops et al

Fingers crossed.

2.) 20 Jul 2016 17:15:45
I like him as a player myself, but one of my mates is a massive Inter fan. When I mentioned it he was more than happy to say the least, said we'd be better off with Brozovic but he wouldn't want him to leave.

Time will tell though. I'd love him, bodies flying everywhere! be great!

19 Jul 2016 07:15:23
Good Morning ED001

I was wondering if you did manage to seek any information in regards to yesterdays rumours that started to circulate about Gary Medel and that Klopp was interested in bringing him to the club?

I think you said you were going to triple check! so apologies if i'm a little early

Thanks in advance Ed.

{Ed001's Note - not heard back yet from one person, so far all seems to be negative though, sadly. I would love it to happen!}

1.) 19 Jul 2016 07:47:48
He's massively average. Like a Sunday league version of Mascherano. Swerve.

2.) 19 Jul 2016 07:58:31
Good job ed001 didn't see you say that!

3.) 19 Jul 2016 08:10:50
Seriously Lee? Medel is anything but average. He is a far better player than Mascherano as well. If he signed, he'd be straight in our midfield next to Henderson.

He is basically Mascherano, but with actual football ability to go with the terrier like, hard tackling game.

4.) 19 Jul 2016 09:44:39
I've seen medel play quite a lot. I was a cardiff city season ticket holder when he played there. And I say with confidence that if he signed for us, we would need to have disciplined full backs, because that would be the only way in behind our defense. Medel is a beast playing just in front of the back line (far far superior to masch) . For me he would be signing of the season. Let's hope the reply you're waiting on is the answer we want ed001.

5.) 19 Jul 2016 10:33:11
Medel is a tough competitive defensively sound centre midfielder. He would make a good signing as he would give us someone who could stop attacks when we want to get a result.

6.) 19 Jul 2016 10:24:45
Average? Shows how much you've seen him then doesn't it? He's a fantastic player. A player for a while now I'd love to see in a Liverpool shirt.

7.) 19 Jul 2016 13:40:49
I don't know if anyone has noticed this or pointed it out, but these rumours about Gary Medel started after Sakho changed his number from 17 to 3. Medel plays with number 17, so it seems to me like it's just silly journalism connecting the dots.

Then again, maybe it's actually paving the way for him haha.

8.) 19 Jul 2016 17:49:25
Leej5, your post shows clearly that you have never seen him play.

9.) 19 Jul 2016 22:59:39
Better than mash! Oh my God are you for real!

10.) 20 Jul 2016 00:13:48
Griff y were u a Cardiff city season ticket holder when u support Liverpool? Odd.

17 Jul 2016 12:37:19
Morning Ed002

I read this morning that Zielinski's agent Bartolomes Bolek has come out and made a statement that the player has now made up his mind in regards to where he would like to play his football next season. but said it was a secret (? )

I did a search to see if anybody else had posted this and you have already answered it but could not find anything, and was hoping you may be able to give his secret away?

AC Milan or Liverpool?

Thanks in advance Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - THe player wants to move to Liverpool but Liverpool don't want to pay the asking price for him - so moving to Liverpool is not an option right now. Udinese have spoken and negoiated with Napoli and with Milan- they have no intention of negotiating with Liverpool who already know the asking price. Zielinski is being pressed by Milan who want an answer before they turn to one of their two options.}

1.) 17 Jul 2016 12:54:15
Thanks for the reply ED002

It sounds like a move to Liverpool is dead in the water judging by the sound of what Udinese must think of the likes of Ian Ayre et al and the tapping up saga.

It certainly doesn't do much for the clubs kudos and reputation for any future business that is to be conducted around Europe.

{Ed002's Note - It makes it difficult - but if clubs are going to do it they then should not messa round over smallish amounts of money.}

2.) 17 Jul 2016 13:22:08
I've been saying this for a while now regarding this deal. Tapping him up has poisoned the well and clearly, Udinese want nothing to do with us anymore except stick us for every penny we have which we won't stand for either. Why can't we just take a hint? Walk away!

3.) 17 Jul 2016 16:42:45
Ludicrous behavior by Liverpool on this deal.

4.) 17 Jul 2016 20:28:58
If we wanted the player enough for Klopp to speak to him wrongly and the kid wants to move to us so badly why can't we just fork up a bit more money and get this done. Either that or state we have no intention of paying more and the lad can forget about moving to us and get on with his career.

5.) 17 Jul 2016 22:51:43
because udinese don't want anything to do with us, therefore it makes it virtually impossible for us to get this deal complete, that's why Napoli and now milan are in the driving seat, let's learn our lesson from this and move on.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool know what they have to do. And have done for weeks.}

6.) 18 Jul 2016 05:56:26
We've behaved appalling with regards to this particular transfer, it is very disappointing to see.

25 Nov 2015 21:19:00
Good Evening Eds,

ED002, if you are about. over the last 12 months or so, you have wrote some really interesting articles in regards to the pan European breakaway in which I have read with great interest

You have mentioned the meetings that take place (every 6 months in Monaco? . I might be wrong)

Has there been any meetings in the last 3 to 6 months that have happened, and if so, could you share any info that may of come out of them?

Or is it still work in progress?

Is it still attended by the G14? If I remember rightly this all the clubs who have won the Champions league since Porto in 2004

When it comes to the breakaway, how will it be decided what clubs go into it?

And who will be the governing body?

Apologies in advance if you may of answered these questions before . I thought I would try and bring a conversation to the table away from Klipperty etc as I have really enjoyed reading your lengthy and informative replies on this topic before

All the best

{Ed002's Note - The meetings were annually but now they happen two and sometimes three times a year. There is a meeting in December - and there will be a discussion about the state of FIFA, the situation with UEFA and a so far unpublished claim from a retired referee that the result of a Champions League game was influenced by a third party. The last meeting was at the end of August and included discussions about media rights and a proposal from two clubs that Timing wise, two very prominent clubs, club vs country issues and a proposal to change the forma of the UEFA League. Much of the time was taken up with a proposal from two sides who wish to see a breakaway league much sooner than has other wise been discussed. It went to a vote where they had support from one other side with two abstaining.

In terms of attendees it includes some but not all of the G14 sides. The sides that eventually have the opportunity to go in to a breakaway in the first instance will be the sides partaking in the meetings.

They have been unable to agree on a Governing body, but it will need to be new and independent.}

1.) 26 Nov 2015 10:52:44
Many thanks for the info, both appreciated and interesting.

As Liverpool had representatives in the original G14 (I have noticed this was disbanded in 2008 and replaced by a European FA with around a 100 clubs in it now) . do we still have a presence at these Monaco meetings?

Also Eds, have any more discussions taken place in regards to travelling / away fans, and if the clubs that do breakaway are actually going to have an away section in the ground?

Best regards.

{Ed002's Note - The European Club Association has no involvement in any of this, nor in anything else of note. Liverpool are not involved in any of the discussions. All fans will be welcome to the games.}

2.) 26 Nov 2015 12:08:54
I know you say it is going to happen, I just think it will be bad for football. I know it needs to be restructured a bit, but who will be able to afford to go to away games more than once or twice a season if it was across Europe. I'm not sure how many teams you said would be in the league, but I recall you saying there would eventually be two leagues, but without champions league games, and say for English teams, no fa cup or league cup games, that's a lot less games. I know there will be more good games on, if there is another league, but I would still support Liverpool, presumably still in the epl, watch their games and only watch other games when I have time.
If the champions league was still around it would be Europa league teams mostly with a few extras.
Again, I know you said it is happening, but I pray it doesn't.

{Ed002's Note - There is little doubt that eventually this will happen. I hold a reasonably strong view in terms of the need to restructure football in Europe in any case. For me an eventual a breakaway pan-European league would force the restructuring of many of the national leagues, possibly resulting in a British league with perhaps only a couple of professional tiers and then regionalised amateur leagues below that. Financially I do not see that so many English pro sides can be sustained within the sport which, like it or not, will see more and more money going in to the highest levels of the game. Governments will ensure that grassroots sport get funding but everything in the middle (Southern, Northern, Conference, Division 2, Scottish Divisions 1-3, League of Wales will not get the funding needed to continue on any sort of professional basis.}

3.) 30 Nov 2015 14:44:05
Is it possible that clubs could field two teams, one in the "EPL" and one in their national league with players being interchanged. Would they be allowed to?

{Ed002's Note - No - that won't happen. Once the clubs go they will go for good.}

25 May 2018 21:02:07
Klopp " when we lose I am responsible, when we win the boys are responsible"

Mourinho "when we lose it's Pogbas, lukaku, Luke shaws, the tea lady, the queen, Mrs Smith from next door, my cat, Gordon Stachan, Dave the Minnion, all of Iceland, Woody from toy story, purple aki, boyzone, R2D2, Freddie Mercury, the entire cast of Kes and that penguin who looked at me funny in Edinburgh zoo, fault

Also Mourinho" when we win. care, care, care somebody, love me, I am special after all. actually sack me so I can get my £10 million pay off and go to PSG".

1.) 25 May 2018 21:26:46
If I have left out any other reputable Mourinho scape goats such as Skoda, Kim un Jung, Terry my milkman, George Jackson from brookside (free him please) the Tuesday night DJ in the Grafton on singles night (massive shout out Bruv skkkkkk pop pop pop. although your mam is not hot) and all of the staff in The Albert (the holy bible)

Well one can only apologise, I have been on the Ribena.

2.) 25 May 2018 21:29:19
Big Sam was like that too this season eh. Klopp is shear class. I dunno why players bother doing press conferences, every question is answered "it's about the team, hopefully we can enjoy it as a team" even when asked what it's like banging their wives.

I tell you, my confidence is sliding the closer we get. They have ronaldo, Kroos, modric, bale and benzema who can all score from outside the area, easily. That worries me as I don't think we have an amazing keeper. I like Karius but he's no seaman I hope he proves me wrong. People disliked Dudek. I loved him and will forever and I thought he was a good keeper.

3.) 25 May 2018 21:36:20
Dudek is a hero and icon, miracle save in etra time and 2 shootout saves, apart from that there was one other decent save in an otherwise dodgy performance from him. people are underesrimating Navas, he is dodgy for sure, but he is also capaple of crazy reflex saves and he has shown this since he gained hugefame at the last world cup.

4.) 25 May 2018 21:36:35
Sorry about that post. I am confident. Our boys are the very best at counter attacking and I think Madrid will arrogantly pour forward and we will pick them off. The squad is in great shape and just look at salah this year. OMG. If he played for anyone else we would be green jealous, he'll do it for us tomorrow. I'm sure of it.

5.) 25 May 2018 21:36:44
I honestly never thought I’d say this la, but Keylor Navas is is like Mignolet in a rush on the back of a tortoise with asthma whilst carrying some heavy shopping.

6.) 25 May 2018 21:57:23
OP, there is nothing surprising about what Klopp said. He is only adhering to the oldest tenet in football management which states that "Players win games and coaches lose them" or as a French coach once said, "When we win, it's the players. When we lose, it's me". The prob. is that it is those managers who are too spineless and insecure to accept responsibility, that blame others for their own mistakes or failures as Mou and Fat Scam always do cos well, nothing is ever their fault. As someone once said, "If you don't take responsibility for your own actions or failures, you will NEVER be good at your job". I do expect Mou to blame Luke Shaw for any of his probs next season even tho Shaw won't be at the club next year.

7.) 25 May 2018 22:09:39
Didn't Klopp blame Sky or Bt Sports for the kick off time when you lost this season? Blamed the grass against West Brom☕️.

{Ed025's Note - i bet you wish you had him though scholes, instead of that horrible miserable egotistical prick you have at the helm mate..

8.) 25 May 2018 22:36:50
We played a lot of 12 30 games though Scholes and didn't win many of em. That suggests there is something in klopp's class I'm. And the grass was a problem, he didn't say we lost because of it but that it was a problem. He was being honest and it's refreshing, it really is. I watched the conference today and the Players give the same old answers and that's fine but klopp tries to give interesting and honest answers, without giving away anything about tactics. And yeah, I wouldn't swap him for mourinio in a million years, even if you threw in pogba and sanchez, both would struggle to play regularly at Liverpool now.

9.) 25 May 2018 22:37:09
You took the words right out of my mouth, 025 👍.

{Ed033's Note - Would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?

10.) 25 May 2018 22:47:55
I'll stick to Jose for the time being Ed025.

11.) 25 May 2018 22:54:31
Oh burn ed 25 you do make me laugh.

12.) 25 May 2018 23:17:03
Fair play eds025.

13.) 25 May 2018 23:17:11
Horrible seems harsh Ed considering how much he's given to charities over the years.

14.) 25 May 2018 22:55:27
Take a bow sir
Matt in FL.

15.) 25 May 2018 23:30:06
Hi scholes - hasn't your season finished? Can you explain what you are doing on the site - I have no interest on your club's site. I can only think you are sick of the insanity that exudes as you all complain that the bus that was recently parked wasn't yours!

16.) 25 May 2018 23:47:00
Jose is a relic of football! Pulis fat sam etc their game like Jose’s has no place in football no more dinosaur tactics it belong in the S#^#e age! Supporters pay big money to watch entertainment and it’s the future of the sport eh pep’s klopp etc forgot what I was rantin about allez allez.

17.) 25 May 2018 23:51:15
Bit harsh on Mignolet comparing him to Navas. I’m hoping for a Navas horror show tomorrow!

18.) 25 May 2018 23:51:46
Complaining about the kickoff times and the pitch once or twice is entirely comparable to blaming your players practically every bloody time.

19.) 25 May 2018 23:54:16
Fear not Prince Hendo. We have nothing to worry about. If we win fantastic. If we lose, well, nobody expected us to get this far so quickly, nobody will be overly surprised, plus the run we’ve had, showcasing the football we play to Europe will attract more top players. It will be great to win another trophy of course because that’s what important, but in the long term, we are already winning.

20.) 25 May 2018 22:28:41
lol, very well said Ed25 mate.

21.) 25 May 2018 22:34:02
Ed025 spoken like true scholar my friend.

22.) 25 May 2018 23:07:43
ed025 you are my hero :D:D.

23.) 26 May 2018 00:34:43
typical scholes missing the point. but i must say, let's not pretend that Klopp has neveer made comments about his players after a loss. he's usually a bit more careful about his words. But there was that time he said something like 'if I was playing, then there is no way we make that mistake' or something like that. he can be prone to blaming his players it's totally natural.

but you get the feeling with Klopp that it comes from a place of care and respect. whereas with mourinho it feels more authoritarian in its delivery. kinda of like with best mates right. you can banter and be real with your mates in a way that is different to you would with acquaintances and so forth.

24.) 26 May 2018 00:37:04
Scholes that’s the point. He would never sell his players out like Mourinho does. The man is a worm mate and doesn’t deserve to be at your club.

25.) 26 May 2018 00:38:04
I'll say something for Scholes, he normally comes round with a few sensible things to say, unlike some of those other bitter folk. I don't think he's here to meddle, more to get a few memories of what end of season excitement feels like. 😉.

26.) 26 May 2018 02:28:49
Bardzo saving me from the bullies lol, phew! I don't mind banter lads, just don't think there shouldn't be hate in football, rivalries etc fair enough, but not hate. If i come on this page and you United, should all be in good harmony, despite the rivalry between the clubs. Any of you in Kiev, stay safe, heard there was trouble there y'day involving your fans. But i realllllyyyy hope u lose lol.

27.) 25 May 2018 23:11:46
ED0025, a fine, long lived Evertonian, always a scouser. Nice one la.

28.) 25 May 2018 23:23:14
Well said Ed025. Not just cause am a Liverpool fan, and he's at utd. But I'd hate to have Jose as manager, and as a Striker when i played I'd have hated to play under his style. Most the Utd fans i know were delighted with his appointment. They now can't stand him and his constant rubbish in the media, and football he plays. Said it before Ed025. Pity you aren't a Red as you seem a top man.

{Ed025's Note - i will never be a red coco but i do respect good clubs and supporters and united as well as liverpool have both, i edit both sites a lot and united have some great posters as well, i dont have a problem with united as they are one of the stalwarts of british football but cant stand mourinho as i believe he is stagnating united with his archaic dour football, scholes is a very good poster but i feel he was wrong to be giving stick about klopp especially at this good time for liverpool supporters mate..

29.) 26 May 2018 00:51:12
Well said Ed025. You’ll find that Klopp has retracted what he said and admitted that he was a bit dickish saying it. It’s called humility. Maybe if Mourinho got some he’d be less loathed.

{Ed025's Note - very much so FMS, no one likes a smart arse mate..

30.) 26 May 2018 03:01:32

And ed025 scores on the rebound!

31.) 26 May 2018 08:13:41
Stop man, Ed25. Great response. Scholes is a good poster and love reading his posts. Tho Scholes, Klopp may have said some things in the heat of the moment BUT afterwards, he always comes back to apologize and take responsibility for what he said. Case in point, he said that his comments after the WBA game were rubbish and was remorseful for having made them cos he said he was angry. as Mou ever done that? That would be NEVER. I don't mind someone saying stuff and taking responsibility for it later as it makes them human. Good luck with that with that stonege manager you have there who is destroying football and whatever legacy your club has at the moment. Remember, you won NOTHING this season and your 2nd position in the PL is the MOST hollow 2nd position I have ever seen and is proof that "stats don't tell the whole story" even tho the table does not lie. I would sign Klopp for life at LFC and LFC would not take Mou off your hands even if you sold The Toilet and and paid us with the dough.

24 Feb 2018 17:02:24
Good evening ED002

In regards to the pan European breakaway, up to now you have told us there is going to be a tier 1 league consisting of 16 teams, and for now, thoughts of s tier 2

So, will there be a cup competition of some some discription for those 16 teams?

Which leads me to my next question. Do you know / maybe heard proposals of, or do you envisage all the other continents going the same way as Europe, and eventually there being a World Club Competion?

Or would that just not be practice due to he travelling?

Many thanks

{Ed002's Note - There have been efforts to include clubs from elsewhere but that is not in the plans.}

1.) 24 Feb 2018 17:10:27
What are the thoughts of the FA? Are they sweating over this happening like FIFA are?

{Ed002's Note - UEFA is particularly concerned hence their supporting alternate proposals. Only one FA has ever attended any of the mrrtings for whatever reason and it was not the English FA.}

2.) 24 Feb 2018 17:24:29
Ah yes of course UEFA not FIFA. My bad

Thanks ED002

All the best mate

3.) 24 Feb 2018 18:01:50
Q for ED002?
Will the clubs involved be still making most of their money from the likes of sky and bt or will the majority of their money be made from selling tv or streaming packages directly to their own fans? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - By the time it comes around there will be a lot of parties interested.}

17 Feb 2018 21:09:58
Ed001 / ed002

Please may I ask a question of infrastructure?

I've been a season ticket holder in my beloved Kemlyn road since I was 11 years old

So, I was wondering, when the club decided to dedicate the stand, to Mr Kenny, did they ever consider offers of money from any of the big wigs out there ( excuse my terminology, but I mean big boys out there, like maxis tyres, Emirates, apple etc) or was it never up for debate?

If the latter, I would like to think that's a nice touch from Henry when he could of made a quick buck there

Thank you in advance kind sirs

{Ed002's Note - any stand sponsorship is unrelated to it being dedicated to Kenny D, Bob S or whoever. The club have continued to actively look at options about stands and the stadium but are aware of heritage issues so they would need a balance. The Anfield SugarPuffs Bowl, or whatever.}

09 Feb 2018 22:04:34
Ed001 / Ed002

Can I ask a hypothetical question please?

If Liverpool won the league this year (hence the hypothesis) and Barcelona win la liga

Would Countinho receive winners medals from both footballing associates?

{Ed001's Note - the clubs choose who to give them to these days mate, but he would certainly qualify for one from us, he would need to play more games yet for them. In theory though, yes he would.}

WOuld be very bittersweet to beat barcelona in the finals and offer him a medal 😎.

What is more possible is we win the UCL and Barcelona win the La Liga. So Coutinho can get both medals.

I'd like to ask a question to ED002 if he is about and has time

Over the last 2 years you have written some really interesting articles about the pan European breakaway and the 2 or 3 meetings that get held in Monaco, and I was wondering, once the transfer window shuts, and if you can disclose the information if you could write a piece on any ideas or decisions that may of been discussed over the last year that may be of interest to the everyday football fan?

Yourself and ED001 have mentioned that the clubs / grounds will not have an "away end" and I was wondering will they encourage fans to mix all over the ground like they do at the rugby games, or will home games just be for home fans and do you think it will work with away fans wanting or trying to get in the ground?

Thanks in advance

All the best.

{Ed002's Note - So firstly, I have not mentioned anything about not having an "away" end - so that would be for Ed001. In respect of what gets discussed at the meeting it is pretty much anything, a joint proposal by two clubs to accelerate the breakaway citing FIFA's issues as the reason; sponsorship and media caps are often on the agenda; there have been guests from America and China in the past; presentations by FIFA and UEFA; Jeffrey Webb showed up once demanding CONCACAF to be allowed four teams in the World Cup (which was nothing to do with the clubs present) and he made a direct attack on a PL club about racism; what would happen if a club in the group were to go bust; sponsorship going forward and the division of TV rights; internet and streaming; issues relating to agents in one specific country. It is that sort of thing so nothing that would interest most folks. Agents are around as it is common for clubs to use small conference rooms in one of the local hotels for meetings about transfers.There is alos a reception in the evening which can be a lot of fun. I will try and answer specific questions.

ED002, from a very poor memory, didn’t the original group start after Porto won the CL in 2004 with about 14 teams in it, I forget what the group was called but if faded away and it turned into another group / collection of teams?

So is it just down to 2 European teams now pushing for the breakaway?

Also, is it now becoming a world wide league with America and China and Africa attending, or have I read your response wrong?

Cheers mate.

{Ed002's Note - (a) The original G14 group included some of the same sides and had a totally different focus with a number of leading sides shunning interest. They lasted from I think 2000 to maybe 2006 or 2007. They were effectively been replaced by the European Club Association (ECA) which again has an overlap with members. The English ECA members are Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. It exists for political reasons and not much else nowadays - personally I see it as fluff. (b) No, the breakaway is supported by all but one of the members (who actually left over the issue but later returned to the fold) - but two clubs want to accelerate it happening. (c) No, there are those from outside that would like America and China involved but it will remain European.}

2.) 28 Jan 2018 18:11:45
So effectively the meetings have been going on for 18 years?

One can only presume they must but a good spread on?

In your own opinion, do you think it will eventually happen?

Thanks Ed002.

{Ed002's Note - No. You don't seem to be understanding what I am writing - the G14 stuff and the ECA is unrelated to all of this - just fluff and noise. There is only a group of 16 meeting in Monaco and dealing with the breakaway. The receptions are very good and lots of money gets spent. It will eventually happen.}

3.) 28 Jan 2018 18:21:52
Ok thanks ED002

On a side note, I love your 60’s / 70’s record collection you treat us with on the Sharkopods,

All the best.

{Ed002's Note - I would like to try and get one more done but I need to travel and I am particularly busy. Thanks.}

4.) 28 Jan 2018 18:42:29
Don't know if you're at liberty to divulge, but which teams are usually invited for the meetings? I'm assuming Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Monaco, Juventus and maybe Inter Milan?

Cheers, always love reading your responses.

{Ed002's Note - It is always the same teams but it is not of any relevance who they all are.}

ED002, can you elaborate on maybe which one, or possibly 2 CB’s will be moved on in the summer transfer window, and who Klopp is interested in possibly bringing in?

{Ed002's Note - that is not what i said.

Surely the owners wouldn’t even entertain it after him and his entourage threatened them with court action?

He did nothing but use us as a stepping stone and then embarrassed us time after time. I read somewhere he still counts in his fingers. He is nothing but a little s@@t stain.

Ron you were spouting this nonsense this morning. Why don’t you start a hate campaign and spray paint “Klopp out” all over the new stand and pay for a plane to fly over the ground on August 11th with a banner saying “Henry sack the boss”

Embarrassing at best lad.

And replace him with who?

Personally I think the owners think they are lucky to have him and he is steering the club in the right direction amongst fierce competition.

From a business model point of view he is doing everything right in the owners eyes

I don’t see his job being on the line at all if he keeps finishing in the top 4 and amongst the champions league revenues.

I work for Jim Ratcliffe, the guy you may of seen on sky sports over the weekend who has supposedly tried to buy Chelsea F. C. from Roman Abromovich.
