Just for abit of fun.

With the talk of needing a CB and someone to replace coutinho, Who would you rather have In There Prime.

CB - Cannavaro or Maldini

MFC - Iniesta or D. Silva

DM - Makalele or Alonso

GK - Buffon or Schmeical

{Ed001's Note - Maldini is easy, he was much better. Same with Iniesta, who is one of the best of all time. Alonso could do everything Makalele did plus pass and shoot, no contest, Xabi was light years ahead. The keepers is difficult, Buffon struggled with a back problem in his prime though so I will have to go with Schmeichel, so long as it means Peter and not his average son Kasper.}

Um, I'd go with makalele and I'm probably alone on this. I think alonso was a wonderful player but makalele for me reinvented the midfield role. Schmeichel is the best keeper I've ever seen and maldini is head and shoulders above anyone else. Great post scarry.

haha yes i mean peter ed. I wasn't surprised with your choice for CB or DM, keeper tbh at there best would have been happy to flip a coin and take who ever i got they was both quality. But i was abit surprised about Silva not getting more consideration, I no how highly you rate him.

However if we had peter in net, maldini cannavaro defence, xabi and makalele protecting them with iniesta creating for our current front three me and you could play full backs ed and we'd still win the league with that team lol.

{Ed001's Note - Silva is a great but Iniesta is one of the greatest.}

Oh I don't know Dave, I loved Reina and he was incredible for us in his prime but I think I'd still have gone for PS or Buffon.

Buffon, Maldini, Alonso and Iniesta. As for Iniesta Ed, many believe that Messi has never been the best player at Barca. The best? Andres Iniesta a. k. a La Ilusionista (The Ghost) . IMO, he is the better player, hands down.
