a question for ed002 if he about?
How does the special talent quota work for young players getting work permits work please? I may have the wrong end of the stick here but didn't we sign gruijic based on this rule? not sure if he been injured or anything but I don't believe he has made the match day squad for the past 3 premier league games. Surely this is against what we have said to the work permit application people? I know the season only early and he may need a settle in period but I can't see him playin the required games to qualify for a new permit. If this is the case does this go against us in future when we ask about another special talented kid for another permit?
many thanks for your time reading through.
kj.

{Ed002's Note - There is no "quota". Klopp went along and said that Grujic would be a regular member of the team this season and the authorities bought it. If he is not used more his work permit will be withdrawn. Credibility goes with such behaviour.}

cheers for the quick reply ed002 most appreciated. a follow on question if I may ed002?
do you think he will make the grade at lfc or can you see this being another major cock up of another young player lfc have made?

{Ed002's Note - H moved to Liverpool because of the wages and promises of Klopp that he would be playing regularly. At least a couple of the other interested sides would have lent him out.}

On that note Ed02, He has so far played very less, Would the reserve games and U23 would count for the number of games played?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

He still has plenty of time the season is still young, also he may still be settling in klopp may not deem him ready just yet, you can't remove a players work permit because the manager is doing what's best for the player in the long term.

{Ed002's Note - If he is not being played after commitments made they will indeed remove his work permit.}

What happens if his work permit is removed eds? Would he still be a liverpool player or? I don't know how this stuff works. I hope the lad gets his chance, promising talent but when we got him we didn't need him imo.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he would still be a Liverpool player.}

Eds if we suppose send him on loan to another club in the premier league or outside it where he would get regular game time, would the work permit issue still stand? Just want to know what will happen in that scenario.

{Ed002's Note - It would possibly still be an issue in the Premier League as it would look like an attempt by Liverpool to work around the rules. Abroad would not be an issue - nor would playing him which is what promised everyone.}

I think we should start him versus Southampton. Bit of a test for him, but Lallana and Henderson both played big minutes this week as well. Seems to me he could handle the pressure.

Thank you. I just hope he gets some game time as I've liked what I've seen of him. May be as the season goes on and players get tired he will get his chance. Also just one more question ed, if we don't play him as was promised would the cancellation of work permit be the only consequence or will Liverpool incur and fines as well?

{Ed002's Note - When it has happened before just work permits have been cancelled.}

If that were to happen ed002, what would the player do? Once a work permit is revoked, can it ever be re-instated?

{Ed002's Note - The club would send him on loan or sell hiom. They can reapply later but credibility goes.}

Didn't Sebastian Leto have his work permit revoked and we had to load him to olympiakos or something a few years ago?

{Ed002's Note - I think it was simply rejected.}
