Proper left field and silly I know but I wouldn't mind valdes coming in for a season or two I know we have bogdan this summer but if we could get the right deal I think it could help our distribution from the back and maybe benefit our centre backs. It's only a suggestion not a rumour or anything

Danfield5

{Ed002's Note - It is strange you should say that as I was reading the Liverpool Echo earlier and saw "Liverpool Soccerball Team on Red Alert" (as that is the headline which (a) attracts attention and (b) means it is absolutely nailed on to happen) "as Valdes has his hair fluffed by Sakho during secret meeting in back room of Bridlington Halal Butchers."}

1.) 16 Jul 2015 00:26:10
I knew it !!! Valdes and Sakho can't keep there hands of each other :-) . Thanks ed

2.) 16 Jul 2015 08:57:56
Some of the eds replies simple make my day 😂😂

3.) 16 Jul 2015 10:28:34
As long as it's only his hair he is acting as fluffer for that's alright!!

4.) 16 Jul 2015 12:39:39
That's not ed002 he wouldn't be reading the echo lol

Hi eds does the Sterling to chelsea rumour have any legs to it or is it just part of his contract negotiations? I am a little concerned that he is being linked with a move away and really hope this doesn't turn in to Torres suarez type saga

Danfield5

{Ed002's Note - Sterling has been playing well. Expect interest from other clubs.}

1.) 10 Oct 2014 09:56:43
No he is to good we only sell the plastics players that r past their best.

{Ed002's Note - Still spreading the ignorance then Tommy? Your posts are very embarrassing for the non knuckle-dragging oafs of Liverpool fans who want to know what is happening.}

2.) 10 Oct 2014 13:15:49
Cheers ed . Do you think the player will want to stay and sign a new contract though or is it more likely we will lose Raheem in your opinion? Thanks

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know Dan, but if players are doing well then expect interest.}

3.) Sterling is playing well but is not world class due to end product so if he were to leave i'd have no problem if we brang in Ruse or the Colombian winger caudauo (spelling) or someone in that bracket

4.) I'd be very surprised if Chelsea went for Sterling based purely on the wealth of talent they already have both at the club and on loan in that area. Could easily see City going for him in the summer, especially if someone like Silva or Nasri left

{Ed002's Note - The two sides who have shown an interest are Chelsea and Real Madrid. Manchester City are not in a position to do anything in January due to their FFP punishment but have identified a viable summer target that would mean they won't be looking to Sterling. I don't see the kid being keen on moving abroad, I don't think Chelsea will happen, and with the new deal I expect him to soon accept I am sure he will be at Liverpool for some time yet. But it doesn't mean there won't be interest.}

Just a quick word to say congratulations to Brendan in guiding Celtic in to the champions league group stage . People may disagree but he's an ex red and I wish him well . Best of luck to Celtic in the group.

Danfield5

1.) 24 Aug 2016 10:42:26
Lol seriously they struggled to get past an unknown Israel team. That was the worst qualifiers in Celtic history.

2.) 24 Aug 2016 10:47:56
Well done to him, but Harry is actually right. They went through 5-4 on aggregate, their opposition missed a penalty which actually would've sent Celtic out on away goals!

At the end of the day, Celtic fans and the board won't care how they got there, just that they did. Sometimes you need a bit of luck I guess.

3.) 24 Aug 2016 12:56:41
Ronny Delia didn't even make it to the knockout stages, also against awful opposition, so Rodgers has earned some credit I think.

4.) 24 Aug 2016 13:19:35
Doesn't matter about the opposition, doesn't matter how the games went. Making it into the CL group stage is a big deal for Celtic and both the team and Rodgers deserve congratulations.

Good post Danfield.

5.) 24 Aug 2016 14:08:42
Ladies and gentlemen I give you MUSCATRED👏👏👏👏. Me thinks we were a little hasty removing sir Brendan, he's proving what a truly world class manager he is 😒.

6.) 24 Aug 2016 17:44:14
Have to say I never approved of the abuse BR got whilst manager here but I can't congratulate scraping through (in both rounds) against what is probably conference league standard teams. I genuinely didn't see what people meant about his press confs, but seeing them now whilst st Celtic, they truly are embarrassing. He praised his teams mentality in holding onto a 2-0 loss.

7.) 24 Aug 2016 23:48:58
We scrapped through our group stage in 2005 I seem to remember . The post was a congratulations on reaching the group stage to our ex manager. I was very happy to see Brendan go and more than happy to have klopp but just a little humility won't go a miss I just wish the guy well as I do most ex reds .

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Dan. Ed91 is going to be running a live soap opera chat on CL night for the the bitters. :=D

Happy birthday Ed mate . Many happy returns of the day . I hope you get all you wish for . Good health to you and all the eds and reds . Cheers PS we need a left back so if any one sees one pick him up and I am sure you can claim for him on the clubs expenses 😄 YNWA.

Danfield5

{Ed001's Note - hehehe cheers mate, I will do that.}

Hi all I have been off site all day so only just seen what's gone on . I am but up against it cash wise at the minute so I threw a £5 in to the kitty I apologise that it's not more mate. I read the site everyday but don't post very often . I know what's it's like to be up against it and I hope that every little helps to sort you out. All the best to you and the others eds and all fellow reds YNWA.

Danfield5

{Ed001's Note - apologise? No need for that, honestly it is fantastic that you are even trying, that goes for everyone. I really have no idea how to thank everyone. I have been trying to write something to say thank you since yesterday, but nothing can truly express how grateful I am. Thank you.}

This is just a thought but the way footy works and all the bizarre little things that seem written in the stars I can see a Liverpool v Valencia final . I know it's a long long way to go but it's the sort of thing you can see happening.

Danfield5

1.) 18 Feb 2016 23:26:41
Or united Valencia?

2.) 19 Feb 2016 00:12:25
Possibly fencey . But I am thinking more along the lines of paco now at Valencia with Neville and Neville having the obvious rivalry with us . Also the ex Monday night football team of Carra for us Neville for them . I don't see the mancs doing much until the LVG stuff is over .

3.) 19 Feb 2016 07:13:41
Surely its Liverpool v Dortmund?

25 Dec 2015 11:58:47
Merry Christmas to all and a big thank you to the eds for all the hard work you do all year. I wish you all a healthy and happy festive period and new year . YNWA.

Yeah I don't comment much but I will be very unhappy if this happens.

Danfield5

{Ed002's Note - I don't think you have too much to worry about. I also don't understand why folks are becoming morally conscious when no one cared about partnering with the national airline of a country that is traditionally one of the world’s worst human trafficking offenders.}

This is incredibly sad news for Danny Ings I wish him a speedy recovery not only physically but mentally as this set back coming so soon after being fit again must be mentally so tough to take . Get well soon Danny.

I really hope we keep him if he wants to stay . He's been a great serving to the club and if he stays he provides depth and cover for a few positions and his experience is key and good for the younger players . Make him cup games captain or something.

Didn't Sebastian Leto have his work permit revoked and we had to load him to olympiakos or something a few years ago?

Danfield5

{Ed002's Note - I think it was simply rejected.}

Southampton next that's the only game we should be focused on right now . One step at a time . Enjoy where we are but don't get carried away . Let's keep chipping away performing as we are and keep getting points on the board .

Ed01 didn't Gerrard visit a German when he had bad injury spells early in his career and they discovered his wisdom teeth were affecting his posture or something and it cleared everything up? I am sure I read that somewhere at the time I hope I didn't dream it as it would be a freaky dream haha.

Danfield5

{Ed001's Note - there were dental issues and a few other things that he struggled with, but yes, wisdom teeth were a problem. I know one manager was known for always getting his players to have their wisdom teeth taken out, according to popular legend amongst players.}

It's van basten for me . Followed by inesta and Messi . Messi because at full tilt the ball just sticks to his toe he has unbelievable close control and it's naturally gifted the international side of it let's him down sadly for him. As a man it's Kenny . As my fave player for giving me some amazing memories it's Stevie . Also Thierry Henry and Johan Cruyff with notable mentions,
