Liverpool have "deepened" their talks with Alexis Mac Allister in recent weeks, according to Matteo Moretto.

@ the rumoured 60m, who is the better purchase, AMM or Caicedo, if they were to be playing alongside Jude.

Would Bellingham and this guy be 'enough' to revamp the MF or do we need 3 in the door?

If we got mccallaister and Bellingham we should be jumping through hoops with delight PA. I'd keep Fabinho in this case though to fight with bajectic for DM. Henderson for experience and leadership. Morton and Elliot. That's a stacked midfield in my eyes.

The odd man out may be Thiago in this case who is an unreal player but may benefit from sunnier climate.

We need 3. A full new midfield. Can’t be making the same mistake all over again.

Caicedo.

Personally, I still think there should be one more in the midfield and a CB. I hope there is a FA out there that we can get or a player from a club that will be relegated that will be a good "bargain". I'm also not convinced the front line is right. I don't know if it is the players or the formation. It seems to me Nunez and Gakpo are playing out of position and we aren't sufficiently taking advantage of their strengths. Am I wrong about that?

Bellingham with either of them woud be amazing. Rabbiot on a free for the icing on the cake. But I'll take Ed2s advice and certainly not hold my breath. Could easily end up with Ward Prowse and Nunes :)

I vote for 3 in the door. Ox and Keita will not be part of the rebuild. I think Milner and Thiago should not, be either (thank you Milner for superb service all these years - please stay on as a coach) . And Henderson and Fabinho will probably stay as the "transition" into the new rebuild, from the bench. Nobody else is going to pay the wage packets they are on, anyway.

Bellingham, Caicedo/ Mac Allister and Kephren Thuram would be amazing. But will cost crazy money. And FSG don't do crazy money, except for agents.

Does anyone actually think we can afford to stump up 150M on Jude as well as 60M McAllister? I really doubt it.

10.) 08 Apr 2023
08 Apr 2023 13:33:25
Henderson, Milner, Morton can go.

11.) 08 Apr 2023

Surely the invesment monies will change things up from the usual FSG aproach, at least for the rebuild?
Bringing the wages down a great deal means more to spend too-on players on lower wages hopefully.

Does anyone know if Gvardiol is likely to move on this summer? Throw him into the mix and it could be a 300m+ spend.

{Ed014's Note - just out of interest, why are you posting under this user name and “spaceman” and having a conversation with yourself on the same thread??‍♂️?‍♂️

Personally I don't want Caicedo anywhere near the club. His statement to try and force a move in January was embarassing. He's an over rated flake. Got Keita written all over it. You watch him start acting like billy big balls the moment he gets his big move.

McAllister is a top player though. Better than Caicedo in every facet of his game and despite being an actual World Cup winner he just went back to Brighton and got on with his job.

Ed14???. How do u see game going Sunday? Think if use get the 3pts use will win it out.

{Ed014's Note - literally no idea mate, clearly I’d love 3 pts but it’s Anfield so a huge game.

We’ve still got City and Newcastle away and Brighton and Chelsea at home so no one’s going to give it too us that’s for sure.

Caicedo should be our first signing above all others.

Are they holding them in a submarine?

Brighton wouldn’t sell Caicedo for £70mil in Jan.
Since then he’s signed a new contract.
I don’t see him going anywhere this summer.

@Flash, the more serious talks get with a player, the deeper the voice gets for the negotiations we send to the talks.

22.) 08 Apr 2023

Caicedo but don’t think you get him for 60m.

Mc Alister won't be 60m they will hold out and he's a pro respectful to them so will have to be the right deal to get him

Looked better then Enzo at the world Cup for me aswell I think him and jade sort out a lot of our issues.

28.) 09 Apr 2023
09 Apr 2023 07:50:06
Mac Allister and Bellingham with a CB puts us right back in the mix I think.
I would sell Jota and replace with someone that suits our style better and can guarantee goals.

29.) 09 Apr 2023
09 Apr 2023 08:16:51
Bellingham andMcAllister would be an excellent window.

30.) 09 Apr 2023

WDW I suppose we have to wait for those balls to drop then.

31.) 09 Apr 2023
09 Apr 2023 09:49:41
Macallister and Bellingham would be more than enough for one window. In fact if we got them then I would consider it as almost as good as when we got Becker and VVD. Trying to integrate 2 new midfielders is going to be hard enough as it is let alone a third and would also block the youngsters from coming through. Our squad is too big as it is and we def don't need to replace ox and keita as they have essentially been medical bench warmers for the last couple of years. We have Morton, Bajectic (who if he comes back unscathed from his injury could def challenge Fab), Elliot Hendo, Thiago and possibly Jones to act as backup. So that would be 9 players covering 3 spots as Milner (much as I love him) is going to take much more of a backseat. That means that it gives a year to assess if the youngsters will be able to make the step up to replace Hendo and/ or Fab. If not then we can look at another transfer.

MK - you talk about 21 year old Caicedo’s actions (advised by his novice agent and Gooners reps) in January as embarrassing yet have no issue with 28 year old Rabiot’s mother still being given license to cause mayhem whenever she pleases.

We love a bit of double standarding.

33.) 09 Apr 2023
09 Apr 2023 10:39:02
I think the majority think we need a midfield overhaul

To spend circa £150m on one player when arguably we could do with 2/ 3 would be barmy.

Il be honest lads I think Bellingham was nailed on until we’ve turned to absolute pony this season so I’d say we are more likely to be going after someone like
Mount and maybe another like a macallister 2 lads who will run themselves in to the ground for klopp and maybe a free like rabiot to add quality but without having to break the bank . I’d also make sure we signed a right back and centre half because virg needs to be able to rest he’s not a machine and the chinks in his armour are their on show now and I’m potentially gunna get slated on here and maybe even egg on my face but Trent is finished at right back for me . The lad needs a fresh start in a new position it like he’s just gave up.
