Just curious what level of interest LFC had/have in Ben Arfa? Seems a much better option than Moses.

That injury prone stuff is BS, we thought Alonso was injury prone and he should us at Madrid (I know it's ironic he's injured now).

1.) Ben Arfa is so talented but he hit or miss! When he's good he's unstoppable but when he's poor he is awful. His injuries are also a worry as when he looks finally flying fit he gets another injury. After each injury he seems to take a while to get back to his best too. Must admit though he is a joy to watch no matter what!

2.) Doesn't seem fancied due to inconsistency. I have watched him a few times and he drifts during a full 90mins but no doubting the talent is there.
Buck would be good with him as he likes the arm around the player pep talks which I think would do him the world of good.

Moses seems to be done deal unless anything changes in. Next couple of days so guessing this won't happen

3.) Personally would be very happy with Ben arfa, fast, skillful, scores goals and premier league ready. Injuries can be worked on (RVP etc) and don't think being at Newcastle helps his form. Their team is very inconsistent and tbf leaves him having to try and do a lot on his own.

We have 6 CBs (Coates, Skrtel, Agger, Toure, Sakho, Ilori), do you think one of them will be converted to DM?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Wisdom and Kelly to be released from their contracts then?}

1.) Kelly is recovering his confidence (slowly) after a serious injury and Wisdom was earmarked for a loan before Johnson's injury. Skrtel was available for sale, as was Coates. My simple powers of deduction suggest Rodgers sees Sakho pushing both Toure & Agger to start, Skrtel providing experienced back-up with Ilori being eased in slowly and possibly loaned in January if Skrtel stays and the young fella isn't getting too many games.

We should just make a bid for Konoplyanka (LW/CAM) and Yarmolenko (RW/ST), they would be very cheap in comparison to Willian.

Can any of the Eds confirm that we have shown interest in either of them?

1.) And if we get Kyriakos Papadopoulos it will make us the most unpronounceable team in the EPL and we will get all our transfer fee back from letters on shirt sales!

2.) Enquiries only methinks. They'll be on a list of about 2000 scouted players. Any serious interest would have surfaced by now.

3.) Since when is 20m very cheap?

We could get 3 very good players in for that amount.

Since downing is going to west ham and we need a big player in the centre of the park, is there any chance Diame could be part of a player swap deal?

1.) We want to try keep possession not keep losing possession. He is hugely over rated.

Is diame a LW?

He frustrates me a lot! The amount of times he refuses to pass only to take a wasteful shot or run into a defender is insane.

But we have to be realistic what other wingers can we buy that will finish top scorer 2 seasons running and have a healthy amount of assists? Also the fear factor he brings opens up spaces for the other players, again who can we buy that offers this.

He’s at his peak and as long as he doesn’t demand crazy things from us, I don’t care what his agent does (he’s doing his job! ), we should keep him.

Also there is a risk off trying to find a like for like replacement, i don’t want to waste a season or two trying to buy/ develop our next star. We’re in a very good place right now and the players are focused and familiar with one another. A big player coming could disrupt any momentum we take into next season. It took a while for coutinho to become the main man, as it did for suarez to hit his impressive goal scoring form. Torres is the only star that hit the ground running in recent years.

Let’s do what many of the big clubs do, buy a top forward to compete with the front three. I’m a big fan of dybala.

Can anyone remember a time where Gomez has played full back against a big team and we won? Can’t think of any. Stifles the attack on his side, every time he got to the byline he let a Barcelona player tackle him for a throw or corner. I think Trent would of managed with Milner in front of him.

In the summer we need to buy a serious striker and sell Origi, Sturridge and Shaqiri. They’ll all in the squad to replace an attacker if injured, if Klopp doesn’t trust them then just buy one serious striker and make him compete with the others. If the front three don’t like it, tough they’re not good enough to win the champions league or prem alone. City can have elite players on the bench in Mahrez and sane, why can’t we? We have the money and ambition so not sure what’s holding us back. That’s the next step for us to become a team that wins instead of a team that competes.

Alisson! I don’t think many would have been disappointed if we didn’t get him as we just spent a bunch on vvd, Fabinho and Keita. It cemented that we are team if we want a player we can just throw money at them. I really felt like a fan of a giant club. I haven’t felt like that my entire life. Each purchase is expected to hit world class levels within a season or two.
