Good luck to him. Helped contribute to the success we’ve had over the past few years and never really understood quite a bit of the criticism he has taken on the boar, especially the strange stuff about it being some sort of a problem that he had the nerve to write a book.

I'm sure he's a nice enough fellow WDW. It's just all the interviews and radio shows and podcasts he went on were pretty jarring. He would take credit for things done in football already by other people.

Posters really bought into the book nonsense, probably the same ones that wanted him as heir to Klopps throne??.
Sure he’s maybe made the odd mistake, who hasn’t ?‍♂️. A lot of posters on here get sucked in by an editors throw away comment and thought it was a great idea.
Good luck to him, I think he’ll be a flop tho. Sometimes being a number 2 is ok.

He didn't write the book. He was approached by someone that works for the club, James Carroll, to help do it. Klopp also contributed towards it. If anything it was a club book that was compiled during the season we were going for the quad.
Whatever Lijnders' reasons for helping do it and whether they were right or wrong it's not true that he wrote the book or that he was working independently.

@JK23, sums it up nicely. As a person he seems pretty decent to me. As a football man he is arrogant in some respects but I’d argue that if you want to be / are a top performer arrogance (or self belief) would be an asset.
