Seems the most likely we will try to buy in Gravenberch. Only seen he play a few times along with some clips. Hard to say how good he could be.

More interested in where he gets in our current 11? Or someone that plays in that similar position. Does Endo drop to the bench?

Meaning mac allister is the deep playing midfield with Trent when we are in possession?

Jordz, I don’t no wheee he fits mate he is versatile and can play anywhere across the midfield but he isn’t a specialist DM.

Surely ( with certain exceptions) everyone is a squad player these days?
We can't expect the players to play every game! He would come in and take his place alongside our midfield so that we don't flog every player and they are knackered by the end of the season.

Gravenberch seems like a ridiculous signing. He can’t play DM, he’s solely an ‘8’ Obviously doesn’t get a game over Szobo or Mac, he’s nowhere near as good as Thiago or Bajetic, similar profile to Curtis Jones but not as good as him either and Harvey Elliott is a better midfielder than him despite not really being a midfielder.

So a 7th choice 8 while we’re crying out for another DM and/ or CB. I’d rather just not sign anyone at all.

Jay, want to bet your whole year's salary on it? ? A CM is coming in for sure. Even Klopp can see he can't depend on just Elliott (since Thiago and Jones aren't always fit or available) . And I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't Gravenberch or one of the often cited targets.

Have to agree with Thomas.

I don’t think we need any more players in his position.

We need more defensive players, that should be clear to everyone I think.

I’m worried they won’t sign one until one leaves though. And we don’t seem capable of selling our defenders (Phillips, Matip, tsimikas) .

As it stands we have VVD, Konate, Matip, Gomez, Quansah and Phillips on the books, why would we sign another one until we get rid of at least two (Phillips and Matip would be my choice) .

I think midfield should still be our priority.
