Before the rules change give Bajcetic a ten year contract. Last night a big learning curve for him and a few levels above what he has previously encountered but glad he played the majority of the game and never hid. If we buy midfielders I will be happy if they are the quality of this young man but they should play along side him.

Let him earn it first he’s played 5 games. He was massively out of his depth last night. Camavinga isn’t much older.

And the Bajcetic doubters have begun to emerge.

Camavinga has played 121 times in either Ligue 1 or La Liga.

Bajcetic has had seven premier league games.

So yes there would be a night and day difference.

Honest to god we don’t deserve decent young players with fans who make stupid comparisons and are happy to bury them the first chance of trouble.

Last night he was in midfield against one of the greats of this era (modric) a beast who is could be a great of the next era (valverde) and a highly rated experienced young player in camavinga.

No blame attached to the kid. He's excellent.

What was pretty stark is that his senior colleagues were not talking him or anyone else through the game.

Far from a doubter. Been very impressed. But he’s played 5 games in a row. let's not get carried away. Every midfielder was well below standard last night.

How dare a player have a poor game at 18 years old against top drawer opposition?

How very dare he?

On the opposite end if he had played a blinder posters would waxing lyrical about the next Xavi? No difference in my eyes!
He was far from the worst last night. Took an extra touch now and again and turned into trouble a couple of times but here’s the thing, Jon Flanagan was going to be a world beater at one stage, so let’s just dial down on the Hyperbolic statements from both sides and let’s see if we have a gem or not. Seems reasonable to me ?‍♂️.

Bajcetic 10x better than Jones + Elliott.

Flanagan was never going to be a World beater was he.

ALFred, nope he wasn’t but he still had that moment under King Kenny where he filled in at right back and did really well and that’s my point. Bajcetic has also had a handful of games and while it’s not right to criticise him too much it’s also not ideal the blow smoke up his ass either. He’s proved nothing yet.

Flanagan was definitely a beater of something but it wasn't world's.

{Ed025's Note - love it johnny..

Bajcetic was one of the better players on the night. Not having a go at him but he was instrumental in us losing. We were 2-0 up and he had the ball and was running at a back peddling defence. He had Salah to his right, marked by 2 players and Nunez to his left on the shoulder of one man with space to run into. It was easy and obvious to play Nunez in. Instead he played it to the marked Salah and the move ends. If he plays it to Nunez it’s 3-0 and game over. Also, for their second goal, he tried to be clever and played it into trouble instead of playing the simple ball back. But I guess that’s the story of Liverpool this season, poor decisions all over the pitch.

onekiss the kid was playing against one of the modern day world class players in modric and the young lad was outstanding. What were you expecting him to play like Steve G. you need to wobble you head and see if that works for you onekiss.
