How good are the defensive players within the squad ( Ali, defenders and Fab mainly ) currently and this run of wins is mainly down to them ( appreciate they all have defensive duties in all positions) as the attackers are really struggling post Leeds match with the final third quality really really average .

Really need to step up in forward positions as apart from Diaz, the other 4 are way below their previous levels at the moment and this will be the difference in winning any more trophies this season or not . . .

Jota (who is a striker, you know the ones who are meant to score goals unlike these non goal scoring centre forwards) has 3 in last 3.

Agree with 1jj. Jota's not been off it at all. His goals have kept us in the title race since the AFCON knocked Salah off his game. I couldn't care less how much his build up play is frustrating tbh. Take away Salah's penalties and Jota has 1 less league goal from about 50 less shots than Mo. Jota's lethal and weirdly under appreciated.

It's because he's not the forward player we're used to, MK. He's the antithesis of firmino, his build up and link up isn't his strong suit, but he's lethal. Now, it may be that as a unit our attack isn't as fluent with him in, but he's definitely been a difference maker. I'm just happy we have such strong options.

Jota has a happy knack of being in the right place at the right time, scoring goals is a huge commodity.

Did you even watch the game today? Bobby was immense constantly put them under pressure, constantly forced turnovers, constantly tracked back, linked up really well with others, he was superb. If we can get those levels out of Bobby for the remainder of the season we will do well.

The games are all tight ones because the forwards are not creating and then putting away chances to put games to bed and then give Klopp the opportunity to rest some key players legs in games with the intense run in coming up .

There’s no doubt at all the stats of some look excellent but if you look at where all 4 players above have been previously they are below that personal level currently and need to get back to that level in the same way the defensive boys are or we won’t add anymore silverware .

You notice after most games when the likes of Hendo or Robbo are interviewed on BT, Sky or LFC TV after the match they often highlight not putting teams away in games so it’s obviously being mentioned in the dressing room .

We are lucky to have such spectacular options in attack but will be surprised if Klopp in private alongside his coaches is ecstatic over how they are performing since the Leeds game despite the results being achieved, due to the form of Ali and those in front off him .

If the attackers can get back to what we know they are capable of there’s a special couple of months coming up .
