Yes, great article, thanks.

Talk about first world problems, eh?

(Sorry, couldn’t resist a little dark humour)

{Ed001's Note - cheers Quo.}

Great little read that ed001, I will look forward to the film on that story. I hope you do more short stories based around the same subject.
A brilliant story on humanity and human struggle, with the media’s constant attempts to de-humanise these people it’s nice to hear a story that reminds you of why they make this desperate trip in the first place.

{Ed001's Note - a friend of mine is from Syria, he used to tell me about what was going on there and some of the stories seemed utterly unbelievable. It is hard to believe people will do these things to fellow humans.}

Have you got Francis Ngannou on the list? That'll make for another interesting story.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Reet. I didn't have him, but I have added him to the list now.}

Great article. Stories like this should keep us all grounded and teach us to not worry about trivial things like overpriced nike kits.

Is there no way Assad can be voted out? Is Syria even a democracy?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate.}

Beautiful that Ed. The UK as a country honestly needs to show more respect and empathy when it comes to immigrants and refugees. The current brand of nationalism in the UK just reeks of institunalized discrimination.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate and I agree. I don't think people realise what they go through, so they have no empathy as they think they are just moving to steal jobs.}

That is more or less the train of thought for most people. Refugees = taking other people's jobs and living off the social.

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame that people don't find out why they are running away in the first place.}

I always agree with Doug Stanhope, that if someone comes from abroad with little or no English and can do your job more competently than you with just the most rudimentary basic training, they’re not the problem, you are.

My gf is Brazilian and so I've been through the god awful immigration system in this country I get really mad when people talk about how it's "easy for foreigners"

These are words spoken by someone who has never used the system, it's intentionally set up to deny ENGLISH people their claims, imagine how difficult it is for a foreigner.

And that's not even beginning on the reasons why people come here in the first place, the lack of empathy and humanity shown in this country sometimes is truly shocking.

Im not sure its really to do with them taking jobs to be honest most people I know were complaing about the fact they pass through multiple countries where they would be safe and have a good life but choose to bypass them and make there way into the uk.
