How do people remember/ regard Milan Baros?

Just about premier league quality striker. Head down running with the ball needing 3x attempts to score a goal. Hard worker, done his bit in the champions league win in 2005. Decent enough buy but always thought he was not good enough to get us those extra steps further. Brilliant euros showed he could finish though!

I loved him. Not the greatest but tried his best. Plus I put a tenner on him to finish top scorer in euro 2004 at 50s so always had a place in my heart for him after that.

Barros is proof that for you to be a great finisher, intelligence and actually the ability to actually look in the direction you are running to, matters in football.

He won me a fortune in the Euros being top scorer for the Czechs when Greece won it. Was at massive odds too.

Worked hard, useful bit of pace and strength, but he was inconsistent technically and played with his head down to much.

His best season as a footballer was 04/ 05 where he scored 14 times, and only once after Christmas. Not exactly prolific. I know it was a tough gig for him being our only fit striker for a lot of the season, but if he was truly better than that, it would've been seen in his post LFC career.
