Hi Guys
Great result last night coincided with Liverpool getting a bit of luck.
RBL header that came off the post and went behind Alisson would surely have gone in last week, and the two goals where defenders made big mistakes were also lucky.
But we haven't had any good luck for a few weeks now so we were due for some.
Has anybody actually seen a definitive picture of the ball being over the line when Mane pulled it back for Firminho to head it in.
The pic that I saw last night on BT sport did not convince me that the whole of the ball was over the whole of the line.
Well Done Reds let's keep it up.

OP, I fully agree with you. We deserved some luck cos IMO, our boys have never stopped working hard on the pitch so I agree there. As for the goal, I still do not know if the whole ball went out of play. It is funny how no other replays were shown of the incident. Did VAR check it? Not sure, either.

It did check it. And we are kinda spoiled as in England VAR takes ages to make a decision. As for CL it is working how it is supposed to. VAR checks it, it does not spot a clear and obvious error and it calls its decision.

Their defensive mistakes weren't luck, they were caused by our pressing on their high line. I mentioned on the live chat at half time that I think we will score from a defensive error, it was just a matter of time. Our pressing was very good last night as was the mentality of the whole team it seemed.

So Stuie the fact that the defender slipped over with no Liverpool player within 5 yards of him for the opening goal was not lucky?
Give your head a wobble son.

{Ed0666's Note - yes but the truth doesn’t fit some people’s narrative

Sometimes you have to create you’re own luck Langland mate. It’s not as though he slipped with nobody around him. He was being hounded by Mane and knew if he messed up it would likely end in a goal.

Not sure what game you were watching, the player playing the bad back pass was being pressed and forced into making that pass, even if the defender didn't slip he would still have been under pressure from Salah who was straight on it. And please don't patronise me with your 'give your head a wobble' comment, it is just embarrassing and I am most certainly not your son, thank god.

Stuie
A player slipping and leaving Salah through on goal is a huge stroke of luck and if you do not recognise that you do need to give your head a wobble.
Mane pressurising the guy who made the pass had no impact on the other defender slipping over.

I rekon we should embrace any luck we get! we need it, all of it and more of it!
