With Mount looking increasingly likely to stay at Chelsea I wonder if the club have alternatives. He's been reported as the number 1 target for weeks now and we had a declared interest.

If we want a player who can play CM/ AM/ LM, who is homegrown and still in their early 20's for me we should move on Eze. Since his injury when he was a young flying winger he has remodelled himself as very good creative midfielder. His balance and vision is absolutely superb. Having him to pick out the runs of our attacking options would be brilliant in my opinion.

Anhbody got any other alternatives they'd love us to sign?

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong. But Mount speaks to Boehly and suddenly he's out for the season? Makes me wonder if a decision has been made and they're protecting his value.

Ed's have always said that Mount is posturing and likely to stay at the club, although I guess this depends on the new manager and if he is valued.
Mount seem's to be a bit of a misfit positionally for a JK system, no?

No more of a misfit than Gini would have been, who spent his career up to us playing on the wing or as a ten. I think Mount, for the price you would pay for him this summer would be a top signing for the club.

Ed002, i didn't expect this to go on the rumours page. I intended it as a Discussion thread to talk about fantasy transfers ? i do like Eze though.

Of the alternative AM's you listed previously I'm very much in favour of Milinkovic-Savic or MacAllister.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in Eze. I think SMS can now be scratched off the list. Mac Allister is going to be an option - but potentially very expensive and there is plenty of interest from elsewhere.}
