Ed2. Is there any chance whatsoever that DeJong could join Liverpool this window?
…. I know it would go against what Klopp has said, but could it be feasible and what’s your opinion on its likelihood?
Cheers and have a great Friday everyone!

{Ed002's Note - If Liverpool were to make an acceptable offer to the club and the player, and then persuade the player it is the right thing to do, then perhaps. But I am not aware of any Liverpool interest and the wages would be very significant.}

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has made it clear he is done.}

I would imagine the chance of joining Klopp would be a significant draw and the fee would probably be made available if klopp asked for the signing but I’m not sure if he is the profile of player that Klopp goes for, possibly a Fabinho/ Thiago role as isint he traditionally more DM? I’m assuming his wages would be a major problem as he is currently on quiet a sum, any idea what kinda salary Utd we’re proposing?

Has Klopp made it clear he’s done?

Just today when asked about this transfer window he’s said.
“You can imagine, we are working constantly on these kind of things, ”
“We are working, but we will see if something will happen or not. I don’t know. ”
“It has to be the right player”

He’s also been less than clear several times previous to this also.

{Ed002's Note - You are right, he is making himself look a jerk over this. I have add my view clear..}

Situations change - if we hadn't had the injuries, then we would not be looking at signing anyone. But we have got them, and things have changed. He's hardly looking like a jerk, he is just having to adapt to the problems faced!

Ed002 I’m with you on this, Klopp is making him self look a daft imo, saying we are done, then saying the finances are not in his control, now today he has said we are always trying, now it seems according to a few journalists we are actively seeking a midfielder. Almost like we are acting because of the fans demand a signing.

Liverpool will now try to sign a new midfielder, Jurgen Klopp announces: “Yes, I am the one who said we don’t need a midfielder - and you were all right and I was wrong. Now we are going for a midfielder”. ?? #LFC

“We will do something but it has to be the right one”.

Things change as we keep getting reminded of, so how is he looking silly?

He isn’t looking silly at all.

As has been said, circumstances can, and often do, change and that causes unplanned / unforeseen or decisions made previously to be reviewed and changed I might be wrong but think for most people in the real world it’s called life.

To call someone a jerk for having to react to circumstances out of their control - injuries to a third of the first team squad is, at best, petty.
