With our defensive injuries I was wondering if anyone knows if we are looking to get someone in. I wonder if we have looked at someone like Daniel Schwaab. Ex PSV player. Now free. Would be worth a year for cover if he was interested. What do you guys think? Cheers.

1) Squad's full so we can't register him.

2) I believe he left PSV to be closer to his family in Germany. Last I checked Eindhoven is closer to Germany than Liverpool.

3) Will he be better than Phillips?

Hi Eds and reds. Was just wondering the thoughts of all with regards to transfers. This was supposed to be the biggest transfer funded season. With all the tv deal money etc. Now with the window about to close. I am wondering why LFC have managed to buy in just over £61M of players but sold £73M. We all know we have been crying out for particular positional players. We have got rid of some big earners too like Kolo. I know there have been agent fees. But all our spending should be at least break even. Or is it the fact we can not find the right players to fit those position. Any thoughts?

{Ed001's Note - the money is not in the bank waiting to be spent, large sums have gone on the stadium plus there is a huge debt owed to FSG. Also it is not as simple to sign the players you want.}

We haven't broken even in years, would it be such a bad thing if it happened just once! There are still plenty of players we need off the books. Our one failing is a left back, aside from that the movements have been good.
