In my job I have to review my performance every day and be a reflective practioner.
I learn from my mistakes to become better at work and a better person.

Perhaps the folks at Liverpool FC could look over the games from the last couple of seasons and see what we can all see?

Is it really that hard to sort it out. We all knew Watford would equalise. What does that say?

First time poster and loyal red for 40 years now in Perth, Western Australia.

Thought I'd change the subject from JK not getting on with PC who FSG said was not going to FCB or was it RM, BBC or ITV?
But was it not PC for LFC to go for VVD and NK from RB? IDK? WTF does any of this mean anyway?

I digress. We should be ecstatic as we are on the cusp of a new season. The excitement is building, and don't forget one player does not make a team - remember there's no ME in TEAM
. oh wait. oooppps
Anyway the team is only as strong as its weakest link. We all thinking the same one ;)

What I wanted to ask was for people's memories of their best opening game of the season.

Mine was going to Highbury to see Liverpool, can't recall who they were playing, on 15th August 1987.
I was excited to see two of our new signings Barnes and Beardsley - who didn't disappoint after 9 minutes setting up Aldridge for the opener. From what I could see - us Liverpool fans were stuck in a corner behind a massive pillar (ahh those were the days! ), we were really good, fluid, exciting football.
The gooners equalized (boooo! ) . Then 2 mins to go Steve Nicol (my fave player at the time) scored with a header from the edge of the box - seriously you need to youtube this if you've never seen it!
We were jumping up and down and twirling our rattles like good uns. The best opening game ever!
Team that day included: Brucie - goals, Hansen (best hair ever) - captain, Ronnie - mid, Skippy - upfront.
Bit light with depth of squad (sound familiar) as occasionally that season the manager had to play - K. Dalglish (what happened to him? ) . They still won the league! Food for thought with JK though - wasn't our current manager a defender? Could save 100 million on VVD!

Regardless of on/ off transfers - 11 brave warriors will today don the famous (red or whatever colour) shirt and proudly display the Liver Bird on their heart. We should stand together as one and support these heroic champions. Remember the greats: Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish; we have to believe that Klopp will be up there with them.

Let's get behind the team and dare to dream - You'll Never Walk Alone.

My favourite headed goal ever. Loved collymores opening day goal and what a belter manes was last year.
