Don't know if I like the limited edition 125 years anniversary kit. Pitch black apparently . £90 is a bit too much for me.

1.) 18 Sep 2017 13:58:07
It's horrible.

2.) 18 Sep 2017 14:38:39
Its better than the bright orange thing we have this season!

13 Sep 2017 22:56:13
Anyone see didis comments on RTE tonight? Was very critical of the manager. He said he hasn't improved us and this team isn't going anywhere.

twinkletoes

{Ed002's Note - What a shock.}

1.) 14 Sep 2017 01:12:48
Well wasn't he right?

{Ed001's Note - no. He clearly wasn't. The front 3 were tearing them to shreds last night.}

2.) 14 Sep 2017 03:13:22
Agree with Ed002 and Didi Hammann. We cannot expect to win every game by scoring loads of goals. Its a concept alien to Klopp. So much hype, so less to show for that faith put put in him by the club.

{Ed001's Note - yawn. More whines.}

3.) 14 Sep 2017 03:24:21
What European competition us Didi's team playing in?

Seville played us off the pitch in the EL final not too long ago,

Tonight They've left Anfield knowing they got away with one,

First game over and No defeat,
It doesn't matter a toss that the other English clubs scored more,

All that counts is our group matches and negotiating a way through to the next stage,

Im more confident now of us topping the group as we can outscore Seville home or away

The route to Istanbul wasn't looking great for much of the way either.

Get behind Klopp and the team as its as it is till January at least.

4.) 13 Sep 2017 23:39:17
Klopp hasn't improved our defence but he has improved us no end going forward. Three inches from being 4 2 tonight and should have had penalty for challenge on mane. Kinda night I wish we had skrtel and agger.

5.) 14 Sep 2017 00:17:04
Didi hasn't exactly become a great coach himself. He's better off heading back to the bookies than commenting on Klopp's failings.

6.) 14 Sep 2017 00:17:52
Absolute bull of course we have improved.

7.) 14 Sep 2017 13:11:01
Don't be fooled, people. These losers only come out in the media to say Klopp has not improved us and compare him to BR using pathetic statistics that no one with two brain cells to rub together, cares about. They do this as soon as we have a bad result just to heap pressure on Klopp and on LFC. They did that thru out last season cos many of them are still sore that BR got the boot and still can't get over it.

Klopp has improved us massively overall from the dross BR left behind so that much is clear. N BTW, how's BR doing in the PL? Oh that's right. He's still getting his arse handed to him on a plate, conceding cricket scores to Barcelona and PSG.

8.) 14 Sep 2017 17:10:52
If he compromises on quality then we end up with a team of Lovrens,
Like Rodgers did.

We have a manager who is strong enough to tell the club what he wants, who stays and who goes.

If all our transfer targets came off we would be praising Klopp.

They didn't come off, the club has to be responsible for the methods employed in procurement. but the quality was targeted but unfortunately not delivered. Yet.

Eds has a £65 million bid been rejected by Monaco? This is just getting more ridiculous.

twinkletoes

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any bids in GBP. Why is it ridiculous?}

1.) 28 Aug 2017 22:56:20
The money being spent on players this window is just crazy. I know it's the going rate these days but surely it has to stop sometime.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 23:20:09
It's not your money so who gives a toss pal!

28 Aug 2017 13:37:43
Just got a text alert from the echo that a private plane has just made an emergency landing in a field. Maybe Alansbarnets back.

2.) 28 Aug 2017 14:12:44
Signing Ken Aguero 😂😂😂🙈.

12 Aug 2017 22:33:01
Some people need to cool the jets. It's the first match . Tuesday is going to be a tougher game in my opinion. Things might not go our way on the night. Chances are we could score 4 and concede 5. I agree with carra vvd won't make a difference the way we set up at set pieces. It doesn't take a genius to work that out. As much as I love hendo I think he's wasted in front of the back four.

twinkletoes

1.) 12 Aug 2017 22:55:16
Don't think he's captain material either.

2.) 12 Aug 2017 23:17:14
Leadership in the back is what is needed. Someone like carra to rip into players to stay in their positions and mark properly. We can have all of the proper technical players we want, but without the leadership in the back to organize and rip arse, it doesnt' matter.

3.) 12 Aug 2017 23:46:46
It's not about marking in set pieces is it? How long do we carry on with zonal marking before we decide it doesn't work for us? Talk about square peg, round hole. The way our boys were set up in corners, it's like inviting the opposition to score. I don't actually know (how they were set up) if it's possible defend decent corners? Ridiculous. Hendo wasn't the problem was he? He's great no 6 for us, the heartbeat of the team. How you can say he's not captain material? I assume you know him? No. Then what are you talking about. Talk about sweeping statement. Attacking we are good even though in 3rd gear today but it's set pieces. It was last season and it was today. People slag our defenders when actually they ain't bad. We don't concede many from open play. We concede from set pieces and that is down to system. Ergo management and coaching staff. Sorry jurgen and co, love you guy's but it's true.

4.) 13 Aug 2017 00:08:13
agree superred. good post.

5.) 13 Aug 2017 00:09:24
Just to be clear. I think klopp is a brilliant manager. Love our football under him, has made unbelievable players out of our squad.
The zonal thing ain't working.

6.) 13 Aug 2017 00:14:14
Just seen all the other posts about zonal marking. It doesn't take z genius to see it.

On another note, I'm glad people can see we can score without coutinio. Obvious really, just transfer season fever making people crazy. I think kieta would've made a difference today. We need more metal in the team. Sell cout's buy kieta vvd and lanzini.

7.) 13 Aug 2017 00:18:02
I agree if we conceded 50% less of set pieces we'd have finished 3rd last season at least. I know it's a new season, but this zonal marking clearly isn't working, just go back to basics with man marking, one man on the post and one spare man. Then at least people can be more at fault for the opposition scoring if our players don't track THIER man to mark. Simples really.
Has he always used zonal marking in his managerial career does anyone know?

8.) 13 Aug 2017 01:07:17
As much as I agree superred rafa won the cl with zonal marking. Saying that we had hyypia and carra but I can also remember when things wernt going well it was a big thing on sly. They made such a big deal out of it. Even Rodney marsh was a pundit then and them other two f%&kwits.

9.) 13 Aug 2017 01:17:11
Zonal can work but it needs perfect set up EVERYTIME. Dunno why it doesn't work for us. I can only put it down to lack of intelligence and lack of leadership. For watford second (I think) where the ball ended up was not defendable (is that word?! ) It shouldn't have got past the front post, can't remember who's responsibility that was. gini? Zonal is reliant on too many things being done perfectly. when they are so often not done so by liverpool. I mean, in training the guys must ship loads of goals aswell? We must be aware of the problem. SwitchING to man marking isn't going to happen and I don't think klopp should re-evaluate his philosophy. I don't know the answer? I think our cbs are decent but perhaps not suited to zonal system. We were told jurgen had £200 mil this summer, look for defenders who have mastered the zonal thing, played it all there careers. Or change the system.

10.) 13 Aug 2017 01:20:15
Who are these "leaders" then?

Name names. It's too easy to say the club should sign a particular type of player and not put your neck on the line.

11.) 13 Aug 2017 01:24:07
Sorry bignig dude. Didn't mean to bite your head off. He has big boots to fill does Hendo.

12.) 13 Aug 2017 08:11:53
Great discussion, guys and Superred is correct. As for me, zonal marking is too much of a high risk, high reward. Last season, we did not do a full zonal marking system. We did a mix of zonal and man marking meaning, we did a zonal marking across the 6 hard box and then man marking outside of it and in the last six games of last season, it worked when we kept 4 clean sheets in 6 games to get top 4 altho Lucas helped immensely. We need to get back to that and also, our CB's NEED TO GROW A PAIR AND TAKE CHARGE.

13.) 13 Aug 2017 17:34:16
No worries Supered91 you make a good point having big boots to fill, nobody could replace Stevie G. I just don't see Hendo being mentally strong enough/ having the balls to kick some asses on the pitch or dressing room. I don't think we have any characters like that at present.

Moreno starts against city for me. If he plays well then why drop him? . Not his biggest fan but hope he pushes on this year. Most of us are going to be waiting for him to make a balls of things but he deserves his in my opinion.

Not sure which Ed it was but I remember the comment about Eriksen whoring himself around Europe for a move before he went to Spurs. Pure quality.

Big chance for AOC. Hopefully he can take it. I'd love it if he scored a couple against utd at the weekend. Love it!

All I ask for is 100% effort from everyone. Sometimes you have to admit that the opposition is better than you. However when it's the same mistakes week in week out / season after season surely some questions need to be answered.

Honestly can't argue with any because I mostly watch Premier league and my choice for lb would be at the minute and there's no stand out candidate for me. Alonso. For Rb there's only one for me and that's seamy Coleman. Maybe I'm being biased but before that injury I've always said it. There's not a better Rb in the league.
