The so called Fans on here remind me of the Rodger’s days. Remember when he blew 70 million on all the crap he signed. Yet the fans were loving it until they actually saw them play!

Klopp has built this team from the utter garbage Rodger’s built, we are dining at the top table and to stay there we need TOP players not just ANY.

Klopp has let pep get to much influence this season and hopefully makes it right. We will get some new additions, IF they are the right ones. We’re no longer buying just anything these days.

Patience is a virtue.

Remember under Rodgers when FSG had Ian Ayre tell us the reason we couldn’t sign Sanchez was because his wife wanted to live in london. Alexis was single at the time ? over a decade of excuses.

{Ed001's Note - FSG did that? That is news to me. You really are ridiculous now. It is embarrassing the lies you make up to blame FSG for everything. No doubt they told Putin to invade the Ukraine as well right? Ayre was an inept failure who made a mess of transfer after transfer and then made excuse after excuse for his failings. That was nothing to do with FSG, other than the mistake of appointing an incompetent to the role.}

John W. Henry was behind the grassy knoll in Dallas. True story.

Actually Ed, didn't they inherit Ayre? Thought he was a Hicks appointment.

{Ed001's Note - good point. I had not even thought of that to be honest.}

Maybe he wasn’t told to say it but i don’t get why he’d blatantly lie about why the player turned us down. Fekir and his knee too he said a knee issue was never mentioned to him during them medical. Said himself they just went looking for an excuse not to sign him. The no Champions League excuse would be perfect for them to not spend in the summer.

{Ed001's Note - because Ayre was a cretin. And Fekir said his agent was the issue, no idea where you got the nonsense about looking for an excuse from.}

Had Ayre not left the club long before we tried to sign Fekir?

I remember reading an interview with a club staff member shortly after the Fekir fiasco. Apparently Fekir was using his brother as his agent and when they turned up in Liverpool to sign the contract the brother started demanding that they renegotiate the contract or there would be no signing. All the Liverpool staff concerned with the transfer unanimously agreed to pull the plug on the deal right there and then. All around the time Fekir was doing his famous photo shoot with the red shirt on.
FSG would have paid for the flights to Liverpool for Fekir and his family/ entourage. All first class too, not cheap.
They ain't going to splash out on that just to kid fans on they're signing the player then back out at the last minute.
Only someone trying to push their own skewed agenda would buy into that.

According to wikipedia: In March 2016, Liverpool announced Ayre would step down as CEO at the end of May 2017, when his current contract expired.

According to liverpool. com: Remember the summer of 2018/ 19? Constantly updating James Pearce’s Twitter feed. Hourly updates. The content mill pushing into overdrive. Will he, won’t he? It was the transfer that was, then never was: Nabil Fekir to Liverpool.

So Ayre had left before that happened.

According to liverpooloffside. sbnation. com who were discussing what fekir's agent had said: “Nabil was Liverpool’s priority, ” the agent said. “I worked for four months with the Liverpool representatives, with [Liverpool manager] Jurgen Klopp, [Lyon President] Jean-Michel Aulas, everything was ready.

“It was surreal. We thought that we were in a Walt Disney film. ”
”Nabil was already aware of his future contract, which would have seen him earn around €45m (£40m) over five years.

”And on the day that the contract was supposed to be signed, at Rambouillet, we saw a lawyer and Nabil’s brother-in-law arrive who said: ‘Stop everything, discussions have to start all over again. ’

Bernes did admit that Fekir’s history of knee injuries were a factor in discouraging the Reds from sealing the deal, but said that the shambolic nature of the final negotiations was the final straw:

”There were two elements, ” he continued, explaining why the transfer failed. “The player’s medical was negative and the second element was that when you want to sign for a big club like Liverpool, you need a certain attitude.

”When the Liverpool guys witnessed this cinema, they immediately—sometimes when a player has an injury, representatives can make an effort to make it work. ”

I am certainly not in the know, just a quick look on the internet. perhaps others have better info.

You will be shocked out of your wits the lies many of our own fans are willing to tell and the fantasies they spout about FSG on YouTube fan channels on social media, it’s to the point of being some kind of emotional dysfunction.

The debate has veered to the delusional extremes that if you say what FSG actually did right, their fangs come out. They literally believe the rubbish they spout like FSG not signing players, something the literally do NOT interfere with. This is the world we have to live in right now. Sad.
