On the subject of Barnes, his nationality and the effect that has on the media when it comes to 'being clever' vs diving, he threw himself on the ground under minimal contact (I think Trent might have touched his arm) to win a free at the start of the second half and no one batted an eyelid.

I have no problem Salah not getting a pen for going down easy. I have no problem with Salah being criticised for going down easy. I hate seeing it in the game. I do have a problem when other players, who are usually English, get decisions, or at least avoid criticism, for the same things that see Salah (and other foreign players) labelled a cheat.

{Ed001's Note - that is why it bothered me so much. It is one rule for Barnes, Maddison, Kane, Vardy etc and another for anyone who isn't English.}

Love the review Ed and makes me feel a lot better about the result although I’m not sure about the chances we created we didn’t seem to create one bar the salah on goal which was cancelled out by vardy missing from near at the end of the half. Also do you think Davies was actually injured? Or was it klopp doing the bedding him in like wiht Fabinho and Robertson? .

{Ed001's Note - we had a fair few chances, Mane should have scored and Salah should have had more. Robbo wasted a couple of great chances to slip the ball across as well.

Yes Davies was injured or he would have been on the bench instead of Williams.}

Thank you again Ed, your reviews are both very enjoyable and therapeutic in a way when things go wrong or make a win feel better.
I was happy enough on Saturday for about 70 minutes anyway.
I thought Kabak looked very nervous, whilst Thiago just makes me nervous 😬
Anyway, as you said, we’ve still got the Jurgen Meister and that’s the main thing.
Cheers Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome TJ.}

I may regret asking this ed001 - but what did you make of the VAR call and the blatant push on mane by evans 5 seconds before the Alisson kabak debacle which was right in front of the referee - if a push that could have floored big daddy isn’t a foul - then what is?

{Ed001's Note - I was talking about this with livebird31 earlier, it was a clear foul and should have been given by the ref. I can't understand how he didn't see it.}

Great review ed1. Nobody talked about the world class save Ali made he just needs a settled cb partnership in front of him, so far this season he’s had 14 different pairings and not likely to change anytime soon so that’s the way it is this season.

{Ed001's Note - it's insane the number of different combinations.}

Great review Ed, though I do feel you have been a little harsh on Kabak. Not only was he playing in a new team, in a new country, but a team in the midst of a confidence crisis. You have said yourself many times over the last few weeks that you feel the team have had little to no time to train properly, so imagine joining a new team in their current situation, can't be easy. Can't argue with the rest of it though. After today, it feels like optimism is starting to creep back in, roll on tomorrow.

{Ed001's Note - I did say I am not reading too much into it.}

Every match convinces me more and more that Phillips should be starting.

Cheers Ed I’d agree with most of that. Especially the nonsensicle pundits who at the end of the game were lauding an excellent Leicester performance! Ridiculous. They got played off the park for nearly 80 minutes and were fortunate to not be on the end of a drubbing!
It reminded me of last week and Micah Richards drooling over Foden’s performance when he did about 2 good things and was absent for pretty much everything else!
As for the mix up I’d blame Ali more than Kabak in this instance. Only because he can see everything in front of him and should’ve backed off when he saw Kabak going for the ball. Kabak didn’t look but he was getting his head to it. Ali should’ve realised that as he was the one with the picture laid out in front of him.
Great review though mate thanks.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think Kabak was going to get to it and it was clear Alisson had been instructed to clean out anything that was dropping in behind. Both are to blame for me, Kabak should have looked and Alisson should have shouted. It was Alisson's ball to deal with though, as even if Kabak does get to it, he is at full stretch and could not have directed it.}

Awesome read, Ed. Like you, it made me laugh when Shearer on MOTD said that our pressing game had gone. Did he watch the game blindfolded or what? It was one of our best pressing performances on the season. Did you also notice the Leicester players after our goal? They were completely shattered, on their knees and sucking wind cos we had runabout pressed them into the ground. Yet the geezer said our pressing game was gone. Shambles.

As for the game, the officiating was dreadful. Had Vardy or Barnes got shoved in the back like that, it is a free kick. But when it is Mane? Nope and they score. Salah gets pushed in the back at Fulham. Nothing and they score. Leicester were second best all game and had Salah taken his chances, game over. As for Kabak, he did okay even tho I expected him to struggle which he did for sure. Hopefully with time and a settled partner, he will get better.

{Ed001's Note - punditry died a long time ago sadly. Now they are just morons spouting nonsense. I doubt he even watched the game before opening his gob and making a complete fool of himself. I doubt he cares enough to be bothered so long as he gets paid anyway.}

Big time on firmino ed I was giving out about him but that assist will boost his confidence world class let's see how he reacts

Jones played very well our best player last 2 games and midfield looses all shape with out him.

I think you’re right Ed they were both at fault. I only say Alisson more than Kabak as he was in a position to see what was about to happen yet did it anyway. Plus he’s the experience league and champions league winning keeper. He should be able to react to that situation and not crash into his own player.
The sweeper keeper is high risk stuff it will go wrong occasionally though. Let’s hope they both learn for next time now they’ve got that mess out of the way.

Cheers ed you've confirmed what I said to my lad regarding the Tiago tackle, him and TAA had Barnes totally blocked out and he just ran straight into Tiago, I'm sure a commenter said he's very rash in the tackle .

There's been talk that experienced football people (X players ect) should be on var duty but not one of the experts called it, nobody looked at the shove on Mane in the build up to the third goal and don't get me started on bobby's invisible toe.
