Interesting development on the club site.

We already knew Brewster won't be with the u23s. If he is then we can expect him to leave in January because he was promised first team football when he signed his new contract 12 months ago. It was what kept him from moving to Germany. If you checked the club's website though, Van Den Berg was listed in the first team, not the academy.

Anyway, there was a change made yesterday to add Ki Jana Hoever and Harvey Elliott to the first team squad list as well.

All 4 of those guys may well play for the u23's from time to time but they will be training with the first team and are sure to see game time on the pitch at the bare minimum in the cups. The future is bright!

I think that makes sense PB, the amount of attention he got on the main page when he signed, think it was about 5 stories, suggests the club intend to integrate him straight into the first team. Think short term he will be fighting his way up the pecking order and getting games in the league cup (depending on opponents) .

Great news for these young lads. Klopp is an expert at man management and arguably the best manager out there for it. These boys are in the right hands. Although i think minutes might be extremely scarce for them in the league and CL (except Brewster who i think may be used more than others in league as a late sub), the exposure they will receive from training with the first team day in day out will be great for them. I can imagine all will start or feature in the league/ FA cup games.

debatable how great it is that the kids will by and large si on the bench. But I have hopes for them.

Klopp is no idiot. He is arguably the best manager in the game today. And PB is bang on, klopp's man management is second to none. These kids aren't in the first team because klopp is being nice. They're in the team on merit.

Young players play with a confidence. Remember fowler breaking through. Owen also. More recently trent. The confidence to try things like taking a corner when only one other player is ready. I think the future of the club looks bright and i thank klopp for looking after our team, even though he may not be here when elliot hits his prime (i hope he is, i have faith in cryogenics)

Get the best kids in, leave a pathway! Then when we approach the next wonderkid he'll know he has a chance here if he works hard. Just brilliant by the club at the moment, the amount of super young players will continue to snowball over the next few years.

One great season and we think we can compete with the best teams with a bunch of kids, all look good but I am a bit worried about the coming season.

More games, other teams strengthening well and fatigue with senior players I do think we need a couple of new faces to boost the squad.

Not a moan just an opinion, just hope I wrong.

77 by your comment, I am not sure you understand what is being discussed on this thread regarding what Klopp is doing with the kids. I suggest you read it again and get back to us.

Just read they’ve all left the training camp early as Klopp steps up the team preparation for Sunday.
