I think once the ox is fit and playing again that will more than likely signal the end of lalana in this squad. Thoughts?

I don't know why people expect injured players to come after a long time lay off and hit pre injury form in a couple of games.
Mr ox hasn't played in almost a year he won't change the dynamics of our team as soon as he comes back. It will take time for him just like it has been with Lallana.
But fans would give ox all the time in the world, however everyone wants rid of Lallana. He had a decent 60 minutes yesterday and will have more time in games like these so our first team players can have much deserved rest.
So ox's comeback would have nothing to do with Lallana not playing. Just like ox Lallana provides multiple options and if Lallana can hit good form, ox might find it difficult to get into the team.

Its not got anything to do with him coming back from injuries it's just the team has moved past a player that only really had one productive season for us. It's evolution. Nothing against the bloke. He has some awesome skill, its just the way it is I feel.

Tall Joe Allen for me, our play has moved on and he is rarely going to play, be best for both parties to part ways.

Spot on, Akrubbish. It will take Ox a LONG time to start playing again and don't forget, the worst thing a player coming back from injury esp. one that severe, is a setback which could staunt his growth. Don't believe me? I hereby present to you: Nabil Fekir and his recurrent knee issues in the recent past. Lallana's future will not be linked with Ox or any other player, IMO.

Where I disagree with you, is the same thing AussieMark alluded to. Lallana to me, is lagging seriously behind this current team in terms of improvement cos the team he thrived in in 16/ 17 has become an after thought. He has not been involved in the evolution of that team to this one and the more he plays catch up, the more behind he will be cos this team is built on pace, power and precision, all things Lallana lacks.

Surely Shaq deserves the nod over lallana now. He's better, simple as.

How Lallana had a decent 60mins yesterday?

Lallana did play okay yesterday, nearly scored, some nice skill. He has something to offer the team. It's not a case of shaq or lallana, we have them both and they're both different players. Lallana is better defensively.

Another thing lallana does really well is the high press, he always has. We haven't done it enough this season but when Adam runs someone down it inspires Bobby, mo and mane to do it too and we won the ball back in good positions.

Tbh, no one knows how lallana game has evolved coz he hasn't played much recently. He looked a tad less than fully match sharp yesterday but not too far. And a fully sharp Adam lallana is worth having in your team if you're pushing for the title.

Robbie there's a difference between doing the high press really well i. e. Firmino and sprinting at everything like a headless chicken i. e. Lallana, that's why he's always so tired about 60 mins in and needing substituting.

if that header wasnt cleared of the line, lallana would have ad a solid 7/ 10 game. Just saying.
He was one of the best we had in 15/ 16 and half of 16/ 17 and then has been regularly injured. he definitely provides options if he can get the match sharpness back and not get injured again.
As for his too many touches theory, yes he does that a lot when he is wide areas in attack, but i do not see that when he is the middle of the pitch. But just my opinion.
