Hi eds, any of the more promising youngsters likely to move on permanently in the summer? Currently talk of Harry Wilson rejecting a new deal is why I ask, are the youngsters losing faith in a route to the first team?

{Ed002's Note - Obviously Emre Can wants out and has a number of high end clubs wanting to discuss a pre-contract in January. Philippe Countinho wants to join Barcelona and Salah had his agent approach Real Madrid a while back. Lazar Markovic wants out but asking price may block a move - but he can walk away in the summer if he can't get a January move. Harry Wilson is probably looking for a permanent move away to get playing time - Preston are keen on a loan - maybe a loan to buy. Brooks Lennon - agreement to move to Real Salt Lake on a permanent deal in February has been reached. Ben Woodburn wants game time like many youngsters - maybe a loan to Huddersfield, Sunderland or Leeds will be agreed. Marko Grujic wants to leave the club on loan in January to another English side or risks losing his Work Permit. Allan likely has no future and will probably move on in the summer - again he would need a special exemption to gain a Work Permit. Juventus have made an enquiry about Rhian Brewster but I am not aware there has been one from Dortmund just yet - but they are spending a lot of time looking at younger British players and they have the benefit of giving them chances.}

We should just let Markovich go, I sincerely hope he can revive his career when he does leave because it's been set back drastically since joining us. Why are we asking for so much for him, I don't understand that to be honest. I think it'd be selfish for us to keep him any longer then January, he's leaving that's going to happen so let him go in January.

Thank you for the detailed report into possible players that might be leaving Liverpool. But I noticed one name I was half-expecting to see on your list that did not crop up. Daniel Sturridge. There have been a couple of reports that Sturridge will be allowed to leave in January, with Klopp satisfied with the strength in depth up front.
Is this all just random paper talk or is there a genuine chance that Sturridge will be leaving us in January.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in him at all, hence he is not on the list. If he wants a shot at the World Cup (which he may) then he would have to look for regular game time. If Real Betis still maintain their interest something will need to be done financially to make any move for Daniel Sturridge work. That is about as close as I can come to interest.}

{Ed002's Note - Juventus have a well structured system to bring youngsters through to the first team. Dortmund have their eyes on a number of kiddies who play for English sides and will give them more opportunities than they would get in England.}

Nyoni, i know quite a few clubs after him.
Both going in U18 squad so miles off the first team. Good we're focussing on youth though.

What we need to keep in mind is that we need experienced home grown players in our squad. How many experienced, talented, home grown players are out there that are both attainable and somewhat suited to Klopp's style/ system? I am not saying Lallana ticks all boxes, but maybe he ticks enough for Klopp.

I've been one of Lallana's biggest critics since he's been with us, but if he can continue with the form he's shown so far this season then he will be indispensable. He has finally started to actually produce an end product to all his lovely twists and turns and is actually having a positive effect on our attacks.

He was rubbish against Burnley, but then they all were.
He was great against Arsenal and scored a belter on Saturday. Can't remember much about the Spuds game, bit of a forgettable match.

I know we don't get on to finances here, but if it's anywhere near true that we could have wrapped Lavia up for 48m/ 50m with no other offers and now he's costing 60m, someone needs reprimanding because it's farcical
Only way that's stomachable is if the payment terms are more favourable based on more money but a longer term.

Sorry, should have been clearer, more meant was it ever considered it could go Alisson > Kelleher > Karius as the third keeper with some experience.
Seems like that's is his level without moving to a side not challenging the top of the tables.

I'll take Phillips over Matip as the 4th choice CB all day, if you're that far down the pecking order, you need to be available most of the time, you can't say that for Matip. Availability, age and money all pluses for Nat, hate to see a decent player leave but it makes good business sense to me if it's true.

Nunez is not a LW, Klopp needs to stop neutering him for the pedestrian Gakpo up top. Nunez should have just been sat on the last man all extra time running in behind and Gakpo LW, his actual position.
Gakpo hasn't got the brains, or skill to be a CF and this has been obvious for a while now, not against the top teams anyway.
Also Elliot needs to know there's nothing behind him, you're winning the ball and you're taking the man, you can't half effort a challenge there like that.

For me you can't give Diaz MOTM, he had more than one opportunity to kill the game. Overall I think he's great but all the tricks and flicks in the book are worth nothing if you can't put the ball in the net when it counts. His decision making at times is poor and his finishing is well below par.

Assuming everyone is fit, i. e. two fit cb's, could we do a mirror of Arsenal with Zinchenko, Gomez at LB and Trent playing the inverted RB into midfield, not sure where that would leave Robertson, but Gomez has played LB before, albeit a long time ago now.
