Hi eds, any of the more promising youngsters likely to move on permanently in the summer? Currently talk of Harry Wilson rejecting a new deal is why I ask, are the youngsters losing faith in a route to the first team?

Thanks eds.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously Emre Can wants out and has a number of high end clubs wanting to discuss a pre-contract in January. Philippe Countinho wants to join Barcelona and Salah had his agent approach Real Madrid a while back. Lazar Markovic wants out but asking price may block a move - but he can walk away in the summer if he can't get a January move. Harry Wilson is probably looking for a permanent move away to get playing time - Preston are keen on a loan - maybe a loan to buy. Brooks Lennon - agreement to move to Real Salt Lake on a permanent deal in February has been reached. Ben Woodburn wants game time like many youngsters - maybe a loan to Huddersfield, Sunderland or Leeds will be agreed. Marko Grujic wants to leave the club on loan in January to another English side or risks losing his Work Permit. Allan likely has no future and will probably move on in the summer - again he would need a special exemption to gain a Work Permit. Juventus have made an enquiry about Rhian Brewster but I am not aware there has been one from Dortmund just yet - but they are spending a lot of time looking at younger British players and they have the benefit of giving them chances.}

Thanks for the detailed reply ed002.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 19 Dec 2017 20:39:37
Seen a rumour today about Wilson going on loan to Preston next month.

3.) 19 Dec 2017 20:50:32
We should just let Markovich go, I sincerely hope he can revive his career when he does leave because it's been set back drastically since joining us. Why are we asking for so much for him, I don't understand that to be honest. I think it'd be selfish for us to keep him any longer then January, he's leaving that's going to happen so let him go in January.

4.) 19 Dec 2017 21:11:31
Hi ED, hope you are doing well.

Thank you for the detailed report into possible players that might be leaving Liverpool. But I noticed one name I was half-expecting to see on your list that did not crop up. Daniel Sturridge. There have been a couple of reports that Sturridge will be allowed to leave in January, with Klopp satisfied with the strength in depth up front.

Is this all just random paper talk or is there a genuine chance that Sturridge will be leaving us in January.

Thanks once again for all your hard work and I hope you have a great day.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest in him at all, hence he is not on the list. If he wants a shot at the World Cup (which he may) then he would have to look for regular game time. If Real Betis still maintain their interest something will need to be done financially to make any move for Daniel Sturridge work. That is about as close as I can come to interest.}

5.) 19 Dec 2017 21:31:48
Eds, the salah comment and real Madrid contact, was that pre Liverpool?

{Ed002's Note - No, a few weeks ago.}

6.) 19 Dec 2017 22:42:20
Thanks very much for the detailed reply Ed002, always appreciated.

It's a little concerning to hear that about Salah, though I suppose it's the way of the world -- given how recently he signed, how much of a danger would you say there is of him leaving us this summer? Or even next?

{Ed002's Note - There may we’ll be an approach, but Liverpool will likely resist.}

7.) 20 Dec 2017 16:17:34
Cheers Ed, great info as always. How is that Juventus and Dortmund can offer Brewster chances in the first team but we can't?

{Ed002's Note - Juventus have a well structured system to bring youngsters through to the first team. Dortmund have their eyes on a number of kiddies who play for English sides and will give them more opportunities than they would get in England.}

28 Aug 2016 09:05:10
Any truth that Coric move to Manchester city has failed over game time fears, now moving towards a Liverpool deal, being reported in papers today?

{Ed002's Note - Coric has rejected several sides (e.g. Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich) as they won't guarantee him a first team start every week.}

1.) 28 Aug 2016 09:50:40
It's good to hear that youngster is turning down teams due to no first team guarantees showing that he is more interested in playing than getting stupid amounts of money.

2.) 28 Aug 2016 11:14:37
Must has seen how it went for that Danish kid, the last next big thing. Ostengaard was it?

3.) 28 Aug 2016 11:16:51
But Liverpool would not be able to guarantee him game time every week eather, would they?

4.) 28 Aug 2016 12:28:53
Smart kid. Stay where you are or go to a team where you know u will play regularly and improve.

5.) 28 Aug 2016 12:48:50
Can he play LB😜.

6.) 28 Aug 2016 13:29:06
I would buy him and let him take lallana's place, if he is as good as they say he is, we would be mad not to be interested in purchasing him.

7.) 28 Aug 2016 13:29:45
james milner is the new penalty taking left back Acered.

8.) 29 Aug 2016 06:13:29
Why would any half decent team give guarantees on game time!

And why would we as fans like to see a player coming in with no experience of the premier league or the English game given those assurances?

Hi eds, is there any chance of a double raid on Schalke should Coutinho leave, and Emre not sign a new deal? Goretzka and Meyer to replace them both? Both on last year of their deals I believe and both players Klopp should know about. Just a thought eds, cheers for any info.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

12 Sep 2016 22:57:21
Hi eds, just wondered what your thoughts and opinions were on Adam Lallana getting a new deal?

{Ed001's Note - I don't have any thoughts on it sorry. If Klopp thinks he deserves it, that is the important thing.}

1.) 13 Sep 2016 04:28:11
What we need to keep in mind is that we need experienced home grown players in our squad. How many experienced, talented, home grown players are out there that are both attainable and somewhat suited to Klopp's style/ system? I am not saying Lallana ticks all boxes, but maybe he ticks enough for Klopp.

2.) 13 Sep 2016 10:16:43
I've been one of Lallana's biggest critics since he's been with us, but if he can continue with the form he's shown so far this season then he will be indispensable. He has finally started to actually produce an end product to all his lovely twists and turns and is actually having a positive effect on our attacks.

3.) 13 Sep 2016 10:58:54
To be fair to lallana he has been great so far this year, he has been positive with his play and been scoring goals, which is exactly what we wanted from him.

4.) 13 Sep 2016 12:19:22
Im with you scarface, he's driven me nuts in past seasons but in the last three or four games he's contributed hugely.

5.) 13 Sep 2016 23:18:54
He was rubbish against Burnley, but then they all were.
He was great against Arsenal and scored a belter on Saturday. Can't remember much about the Spuds game, bit of a forgettable match.

02 Sep 2016 10:00:36
Hi eds, Sakho apparently being included in the 25 man squad, is that a case of there's nobody else to put in so why leave a free space or does he have a chance to redeem himself? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - He is a player the manager does not want at the club - hence the attemps to sell and loan him.}

1.) 02 Sep 2016 12:54:51
Spot on Worminator, don't forget that since this system began several years ago we have never named a 25 man squad - and we haven't this time. Might as well use up the spaces.

2.) 02 Sep 2016 20:03:29
I saw the squad, looks like there are only 17 names, but anyone under 21 doesn't need to be named .

30 Aug 2016 13:08:25
Hi eds, any truth Sakho has been told to go on loan to save his anfield career? That he has a future if he revives his career somewhere else this season? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No, clubs do not say things like that to players. He is going on loan as the club can't sell him.}

1.) 30 Aug 2016 14:58:13
Hi ED so with the club looking to send Sakho out on loan do you think we will be bringing someone in? Thanks ED.

{Ed002's Note - No, even Klopp is not stupid enough to buy players to replace those on loan. Liverpool's squad was far too large - they have not been able to sell players so they have screwed up agaain and we are seeing further unmanaged loans.}

2.) 30 Aug 2016 17:43:32
I don't like seeing all my favourite players being thrown away. sturridge is still hanging in there, but he's the opposite of everything klopp wants in a player, so i guess it won't be long now. I don't know what to make of this season. I know its only been 4 competitive games but i'm seeing the exact same problems as last season. klopps inability to change and mind boggling tactics. No doubt we will improve this season but klopp will continue to shoot himself in the foot so the best we can hope for is a fight for top 4 spot, which I think is achievable.

3.) 30 Aug 2016 22:07:09
Would think loan deals for players we are trying to move on are preferable to keeping them at Anfield if we can't find buyers. A very different situation to 'unmanaged' loans for youth players we want to develop, where we do seem to have improved.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is a real mess at Liverpool as ever. Stop looking for feeble excuses.}

24 Aug 2016 15:39:54
Hi eds, appreciate all the work you do. Is there anything in the James Rodriguez rumours coming out today? Feel we're stocked in attacking midfielder already but thought I'd ask, thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about - this is the Liverpool page.}

1.) 24 Aug 2016 15:51:31
Spanish newspaper.

Fab dove in a couple of times and could have been punished for it, the first goal is a good example, either take him out or run the man and see if you can push him wide, don't dive in as last man. Not only one at fault, why milner couldn't get round his man defeats me.

The latest stuff going round is Klopp is sufficiently impressed by Hoever in the reserves, so think of that what you will, but a good sign if it's true. so leaves TAA/ Gomez/ Fab/ Milli/ Hoever.

Could there be any movement with goalkeepers Ed002? Mignolet clearly isn't happy with playing second fiddle, or will Klopp likely resist any requests to leave till the summer?

{Ed002's Note - As soon as he can I would expect Mignolet to leave. Whether or not the club have the confidence in the GKs they have to use one to provide cover or not I don't know, but they should not be looking to youngsters. The trick typically is to be a good quality older player who is happy to take that role and perhaps to help out some of the youngsters with the coaching.}

Personally if I was Arnoutovic's age, and a Champions League move didn't materialise, and a crazy offer from China came in, i'd jump at it too, set his family up for generations. I know he's already well paid, but China will be a different level and he has no attachment on a personal level to West Ham.

Good point tbf, think that is a sign how much he has fallen in stock recently that my current basis for judging his value is whether he can actually start putting it in the net again.

Maybe later in his career when he loses some pace, think about moving him back there, why would we consider it now when we have a brilliant youngster and a Rolls Royce back there?

Do you think Ed if Ole gets them playing like that then Lukaku might start looking like a £70m striker for a change?

{Ed001's Note - no mate, he might score goals but a £70m striker needs to have a first touch that at least wouldn't look out of place in a Sunday League team. Lukaku could be replaced with a trampoline and no one would notice the difference, apart from a trampoline would probably win more headers.}

Cheers for that Ed. Just a few questions about todays news if that's alright?

1) Graham Potter, what's your take on how well he has done so far? Considering the squad and situation at Swansea currently.

2) The Watson Gateshead to York move, is there some sound reasoning behind that I don't know about? Seems pretty strange otherwise.

3) Batshuayi, where do you think he needs to be playing to get the best out of him? Thought he might be decent when he first joined Chelsea but seems to struggle currently.

Many thanks.

{Ed001's Note - 1. He came into a situation where the club had pretty much sold every first team defender, so you have to say he has done well, up to a point. Probably as well as can be reasonably expected as Huw Jenkins had lost the plot completely there and put the club in a real financial mess while in the Prem. They are certainly more stable now and have a good platform to push on for a Prem return, probably not this summer though.

2. York are a much bigger club, who only got relegated out of the EFL a couple of seasons ago. Gateshead are a tiny club who struggle to get anyone through the gates and have little potential to go further than Watson has taken them. York have been a solid EFL club in the past with potential to build on.

3. Batshuayi has a poor touch and needs a team built around him to get the most out of his limited skillset, like a Loic Remy. Someone like a Newcastle or other lower end Prem team would be best for him. A team that will set up to get him chances, rather than expecting him to fit into their way of playing.}
