I've been reading and thoroughly enjoying the site for a few years now and thank you for your efforts with all us reds!
I'm a first time poster but a few questions for you and my fellow reds to answer if you've time?

1. We hear stories regarding the many players who we're supposedly after (Fekir / Alison / Dembele) every single day but if you was the man responsible for recruitment what alternative players (even in different positions) would you be looking at should these deals not come off?

2. Do you agree with the areas of the pitch that we're looking to strengthen?

3. Are the names that we're hearing about, targets that Klopp has identified or the clubs scouting team has alerted klopp to?

I'm a massive fan of Klopp, because he has bought a level of excitement back to the club and has the team playing a brand of football that is envied across the league / Europe .
sonething special is happening and it is exciting to watch!

{Ed002's Note - (1a) I have said that Klopp has also shown interest in Navas and I understand Macca has said Butland is a target for goalkeeper. (1b) I have said that the club has also shown interest in Julian Draxler as an alternative to Fekir but Macca and I both expect something can be done with Fekir. (1c) I am not aware of Liverpool making any approaches at all for Dembele although Macca expects him to join - in terms of a RW I have explained that Liverpool has shown an interest in Lucas Vazquez. (2) I think sensibly one or two GKs will be required, a central midfield player, a replacement for Coutinho and wide cover are required. (3) Typically it will be the scouting system that comes up with targets at Liverpool.}

Ed001, are you thinking another midfield player is required/ being sought on top of keita, fabinho and possibly fekir?

That is exactly what we should be doing Ed02. Fekir to replace Coutinho. Fabinho comes as the CM, Kieta johns as an addition and a cover upfront who could be anyone ( Dembele / Vazquez) . A world class GK would be better than buying 2.

Rated Vazquez think he would be great to have as an option without the need to spend the 90-100mil to get dembele.

4 new midfielders in one window is overkill. And we certainly don't need 2 new GKs either. One of Oblak/ Alisson will do. Keita, Fekir, Fabinho, Alisson/ Oblak would be a fantastic window. If we can get a cheap alternative like Vasquez to give the likes of Salah and Mane a breather, that would be a bonus.

{Ed002's Note - So Liverpool were the only club to register 4 goalkeepers last season and might be the only one to register just one or two next season. Or do you see a new contract for Bogdan. Who has suggested four new midfield players. Basically you are back to trolling the site again.}

I have always rated Vazquez tbh. He is a very good player and criminally underrated at Madrid. Works his socks off. Very good with the feet and could be coup if we get him. Genuine threat down the flanks. Wouldn’t mind him over Dembele who would demand playing minutes.

Macca got a couple of accurate transfer information but u did that as well.

More than that, you let us know about how the board, Klopp's thought on the development. Really thanks for that.

My guess is that Macca gets some very good inside intel from time to time, but Ed02 has a encyclopedic database of info that cannot be compared. Both useful sources but very very different.

It’s like the hot bird vs the thinking mans crumpet - is it wrong of me to like both?

Ed001 I appreciate that you are having to answer and give more info on transfers - thank you. I don't ask anything for a while because all the information on transfers has been given by you both. Hopefully everyone will give you a couple of hours off.

Fekir and a top keeper would give us a great chance.
