Next six league games include city, utd and Chelsea. think we will have an idea of any chance after those six. There are three cup games in between, do we rest first teamers? And does he strengthen in Jan?

We've got lots of reinforcement coming in January - Coutinho, Ojo, Grujic, Stewart, Gomez all nearing first team fitness.

What is this thing about strengthening in January? We ALREADY have players Hijkle mentioned (esp Couts and Studge), coming back from injury or do people just wanna see signings just for the heck of it, with no idea of how they would fit into a well-oiled machine that we currently are? Sheesh!

Would love to see a top centre half come in to play alongside Matip we are a bit thin in that area but if the right one's not available it's not a massive problem to wait until the summer. Perhaps a left back but again not massively urgent.

Agree with Pip. If the right CB and LB be become available then great, but the club shouldn't target short term options.

I personally think we need another attacker, we don't seem to be able to change games with players at the moment. Mane is off for a month the cup games will build up then we will look thread bare. Firmino gone right off the book needs more competition in my opinion.

Did you honestly just say we need something in attack? Are we not leading the league in goals scored? While essentially have sturridge on the bench the entire time, and missing couts for several games. When Mane goes, couts will be back and you'll have an attacking 3 of firmino, couts, and studge/ origi which I'm more than happy with.

I'd be happy if we bought no one. Happier if we bought a LB, and giddy if we bought a LB and a world class CB.

New signing can also change the dynamic and not always for the good. We are reaping the rewards of a decade of excellent recruitment at youth level. It would be a kick in the teeth to those that are genuinely good enough to get games like grugic, ojo, gomez, alex arnold, woodburn etc. So no, i am in favour of giving them the chance to prove themselves and not buy just for buyings sake.
