Leeds United at Anfield. That'll do nicely 😀👍🏼.

Definitely good for the fringe players.

I had a gut feeling we would get Leeds. I say, we mix up the selection and get the win and we put out a strong team for the semis because we will definitely get a team that's worth fielding a strong line up for.

The last time I saw Leeds at Anfield, Aussie Mark Viduka had four shots and four goals. Paddy Berger also did some serious knee damage trying to turn and block a shot.

Will like to see ojo in.

Ojo won't be in unfortunately. Ed1 says he may be back by the end of the season (gutted) . I like the idea of leeds I think we'll destroy them whatever team we put out. I want to see a similar lineup like we had against Spurs the other night and of course if gomez is fit, he'd replace Klaven for me.

Don't get overconfident guys. We need to play a strong team in this game to get through. Leeds have a decent history, so stop all those fringe players talk. We must show them respect and approach the game with all seriousness. Yes, we have an okay backup team, but we'll be in for a surprise if we don't play a mix of seniors and youngsters. It's a chance to be in the last 4; let's not get complacent and blow it!

In my opinion, there's no point in having a squad if you can't play some fringe players in a game against a team like Leeds. With all due respect they have been a second tier team for over a decade and have not been close to the premier league in recent years.

I'm not advocating complacency, Klopp will not pick players who are not up for the game. Who is likely to be the more complacent? The players regularly playing in the premier league or the players trying to break into the first team?

I was going to say mix the team up with first team and squad players but thinking about it I am not sure who I would drop from the spurs game. Maybe we should keep as it was and ensure courts, bobby and mane are on the bench if needed.

Very true Ron.

I am over confident with this fixture Noski, to me it'll be a walk in the park even if we played the majority of the youngsters it would be, Klopp won't be risking anything, it'll be a mixture as it was the other night and we will win.

Good news is we can rotate without weakening the team too much.

Sturridge, Origi and Ings upfront are arguably almost as good as Coutinho, Firmino and Mane. Likewise in midfield Stewart and Can are more than capable of first team places while Grujic is a big talent and deserves a real chance. We can comfortably mix and match from these 6 to create two very strong lineups without too much compromise.

Only potential lack of depth I see is in the defensive positions but even there we have very capable and experienced CBs and a talented young RB, while Moreno and Migs were first team not long ago.

Klopp has done a fantastic job of creating a squad capable of rotating and competing on multiple fronts without a significant loss of quality.

lol. Noski the only sensible poster above. Walk in the park even with the kids eh?
Leeds are gaining momentum and a better squad than we've had in a long long time. You will get through but I don't see a massacre.
Liverpool fans always think they're going to win everything. Just like I used to.
There but for the grace of god go I
Interesting game. MOT.

LIverpoolfc16 i think we should show a bit more respect mate, i don't think Klopp looks at any game as a walk over nor should he, it sets you up for a massive fall if you fall. But looking forward to the fixture and a good result.

Our second string team is a match for anyone. It wouldn't be complacency to field them against Leeds imo.

Its great to see the league cup being taken serious again.
In recent years Fergie and Wenger thought they could use it as a reserve game while resting the first team for the
Prem.
