Not that this hasn't already been said, but what a class act James Milner is. Playing a position he would rather not, and putting his heart into it. Not to mention 3 for 3 penalties. Some see these as easy goals, but we have seen many missed And he is just spot on

Well done lad.

He's been performing well. But milner is not naturally left footed which may restrict him in some defensive and offensive situations. I still got nagging feeling Klopp is lining up someone in mind for the LB position and waiting for right time to bid.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp does not choose when to "bid".}

Milner is doing well but I tell you what for the wage is on he should play in goal with a smile on his face if the manager asks him to. They are all on insane amounts of money - I don't think we should be lauding a playeer for playing in a different position they don't really like, it is not that much of a sacrifice to make in the grand scheme of things.

Seano that comment is extremely unfair. Implying if you have lots of money you should be happy no matter what. All the money in the world won't make you happy if you hate your job. Not saying Milner hates his new position but just pointing out yours is a very simplistic view.

Lee posting silly stuff again. I'm still convinced he is a troll, perhaps he is even Brendan Rodgers himself?

I agree, and he's exactly what the kids need to see, I run an u11s football team and use Milner as an example when the lads inevitably complain at their defensive position! (Not that it makes a jot of difference mind you . but I still use him haha)

Sorry Seano but i completely disagree. A lot of other clubs will be willing to pay him the same amount to play in his preferred position so its not a matter of money.

He's being a great professional for doing the required job, decently so far, without making any fuss over it.

I think he should be applauded.

Milner is just my type of player. Just happy to be on the pitch regardless of where he plays. I bet he hates being on the bench which I did when I played some footie. I would play CF and FB in the same game at times just to not come off the pitch.

I think you've misunderstood my comment - it wasn't a personal attack on Milner, there are plenty of other players who earn a ton of money, my point is that when you're being paid of 100k a week you should be happy to play anywhere. Milner's job is to play football - Klopp's is to manage the team: I simply don't agree with lauding players for not complaining when played in a different position - it shows how much ego and preciousness there is in the game by the fact that people feel compelled to compliment a player earning over 100k a week for playing in a different position and not complaining - madness.
