I don't understand our reasoning for going after players of relegated clubs i. e wijnaldum (done deal) and amavi (interested) . It just shows a lack of ambition going for players from these clubs. Go for hector at 20 odd mill who is proven and very experienced other than amavi at 10-15 mill inexperienced, relegated last season (albeit injured) but why do we go for a player who has been out all last season.

Surely you must know, that just because we want a player and may be able to afford the fee, doesn't mean he'll want to come/ a deal can be reached/ we can afford the wages. We are currently a team outside the top 4 with no euro to offer. Also, it makes little difference whether a player we sign came from a relegated club. Milner came from a top club with a few titles under his belt and yet people still moaned.

Leicester won the league with:
-Simpson who I believe has been relegated previously with Newcastle.
-Huth who I believe was relegated with Middlesborough.
-Albrighton who was deemed not good enough for a Villa team which got relegated.
-Dyer on loan from Swansea who were fighting relegation.
-Jamie Vardy who came from non league football just 4 years ago.

Am I right in thinking that the best midfielder in the league, Moussa Dembele was relegated with Fulham as an average second striker notorious for not scoring?

Seriously mate, come on. Where a player came from doesn't automatically make them a failure.

Players have to want to join the club.

Were they relegated due to this one player, is what you should really be asking instead.

I have to agree, I've been baffled by some of our transfer activity this summer. I'd just rather get a player garurenteed to sort out a position rather buy the cheaper option who has the potential to be better than who we already got, he flops and then we constantly do the same thing over and over again. I just rather spend £20m on a player that will be better than what we have rather than keep spending £15m on the same position every other summer.

Also before all the BS, I don't mean marquee or big name signings. No one knew who Jonas hector was before we where apparently interested in him, or dahoud for example.

Also to bear in mind that Hector was mediocre all last season,
He performed well at the (worse euros) ever, do you gamble on that stat.

I understand the frustations. We just have to accept that Klopp is the manager, and those are the manager's choices. It's time to back whoever joins, and reserve the judgment. Maybe they will turn out to be good signings. There are lots of possibilities. We don't know yet.

You realise it is possible to buy players for less than 20m that will be better than what we have.

Seasons aren't won or lost in the transfer window either.

Maybe klipperty had been watching him before he went to villa and knows what he is capable of.
