Lemar deal off, structure of payment issues and Monaco also standing firm on €100 figure which they want.
Ox good as done.
Van dijk will not materialise, Southampton refusing to deal with us completley.
Thomas muller will be targeted as experience for champions league.
Coutinho will stay, word is he accepts the decision now and will get his head down to earn place back. Wants a move next year.

1.) 30 Aug 2017 18:38:11
I believe Pipco is already done and agreement is to hold off the confirmation until 1st as to prevent further inflated prices for our targets.

Red deano YNWA.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 18:41:22
'Ox as good as done' is the only thing I believe here. Not saying the other things are totally wrong but, given information out there, they mainly sound like pessimistic stabs in the dark.

3.) 30 Aug 2017 19:28:04
Sparra, have you inside knowledge or, as I suspect, is this simply "I'll throw some statements together and if a couple of them come off I'll look like the new Macca"

4.) 30 Aug 2017 19:32:28
If we have already sold the baby pipco and it bought in a replacement ie Lemar that is bad business.

5.) 30 Aug 2017 19:33:06
I actually think a total opposite to all you have said!

6.) 30 Aug 2017 19:34:27
Countinho is gone. Get used to it.

7.) 30 Aug 2017 20:27:46
Thomas Muller is a pipe dream.

8.) 31 Aug 2017 01:24:23
Muller is pipe dream I agree but pc isn't gone yet is he? So unless any of you have inside knowledge all comments are "stabs in the dark" my opinion is dembele was their second choice and after we knocked em back 3 times they signed the dortmund lad. They ain't made of money and 270 mil is a lot of money.

9.) 31 Aug 2017 15:36:25
Hs anyone heard about our interest in Muller?

09 May 2017 11:32:37
I've got a reliable source within that has told me we are very interested in the young left back Marvin Plattenhardt.

Sparra120

1.) 09 May 2017 14:51:25
He's hardly young, he'll be 26 soon!

2.) 09 May 2017 21:27:01
He has the same birthday as I do. Not having that. Stay away from LFC. The 26th is my day. Not some Marvin guy.

3.) 10 May 2017 10:48:16
It's okay MK, I share mine with Mane and it's an honour to do so.

4.) 12 May 2017 18:21:05
I share the same birthday as the legendary Zico. Shame I didn't have the same level of skills as him too!

What a tie and what a couple of special games this will be.
If your going to win it got to play them sometime, hopefully Klopp over two legs can have a gameplan. Knows all the players inside out!
Can't wait for YNWA.

Sparra120

1.) 18 Mar 2016 12:55:41
That is the draw I i'd not want due to all the raw emotion behind it. well, let`s go out there and leave it all on the pitch in both games.

2.) 18 Mar 2016 13:16:36
It almost feels like we are playing against a family member or something, like you said lots of raw emotion, especially with Klopp and also the fans have great respect for each other their respective clubs.
One off the bucket list if can get a ticket to see the yellow wall but I've a feeling the return leg at Anfield could eclipse anything we have seen before.
Nervous/ excited at the same time optimistic as their players will no doubt play with great emotion.
These are the ties we look forward to and the ties our great club deserve YNWA.

What's people's thoughts on Origi and Ings for next season.
Origi looking promising last few games and one I think Klopp rates, could he push Sturridge and be our Number 1 striker.
Ings also was coming into his own before the injury and again is a player that suits Klopps system in high press, could be a useful player next season.

Sparra120

1.) 16 Mar 2016 09:46:08
Not sure if Origi is as clinical as Sturridge just yet. He is young though and could be our main man up front in a couple of years.

2.) 16 Mar 2016 10:29:55
Massively looking forward to Ings return. Think he's perfect for Klopps style, just hope he suffers no long term effects of the injury like so many strikes before him. I think he's got a really promising future under this manager.

3.) 16 Mar 2016 10:48:10
Ings fit in well with Klopp style. He could certainly have a massive impact next season. Let's hope he come out from his injury nightmares and ease him slowly into the team.
I can't seen Origi replacing Sturridge. Origi looks more like Welbeck to me. Hard working player.

4.) 16 Mar 2016 11:01:38
Yes agree about Origi, not as clinical yet to start but got great qualities in his pace and how he presses could be a great asset next season along with Ings.
Some reports saying he could feature before the end of the season but hopefully they don't and give him the rest till pre season to get back up to speed.
Does anyone think we need another striker for if Sturridge was to get injured again, would you be happy with Origi and Ings, presuming Benteke had left?

{Ed002's Note - Klopp considers Firmino a striker as well. Liverpool is overloaded with strikers and only need three or four. Assuming Benteke, Yesil and Sinclair leave there will still be five. If Benteke leaves it is four.}

5.) 16 Mar 2016 11:30:48
I see Ings style of play a bit like Firmino as a striker, harassing their defence when not in possession, sharp movement and link up play, getting in the box and a bit of a poacher.

Ings upfront with Firmino and Llalana just behind would be a real handful for sides in possession, they wouldn't get a moments peace on the ball.

6.) 16 Mar 2016 11:32:57
Thanks for the reply Ed002
I agree I wouldn't buy another, I was happy with Origi and Ings, can't believe I forgot Firmino.
Things look rosey to me if we can keep them all fit.
With the Benteke situation, some reports saying if we sold him we would more than likely be in a situation where we would have to pay a percentage of his wage still.
Do you think this would be the case as clubs that would want him are maybe clubs at a lower wage structure and standing.?

{Ed002's Note - Don't get wrapped up in the money.}

7.) 16 Mar 2016 11:40:00
Fair point Ed, it only confuses me anyway haha.

8.) 16 Mar 2016 12:49:14
Ings can be to us what kevin philips is to Sunderland. I do believe he is 15-20 goal a season striker.

9.) 16 Mar 2016 12:53:28
Remember that game you played at school where it was 1vs1 and the person who scored stayed on? Basically that but with our strikers - play well and score, you get to stay on. If not, next guys turn!

10.) 16 Mar 2016 12:59:13
Ings I think will suit our play down to the ground.

Origi is showing promise but not ready to lead our front line just yet, where I believe ings could.

11.) 16 Mar 2016 13:00:10
Haha hjikle I loved that game, even though never stayed on long.

12.) 16 Mar 2016 13:30:59
I remember that game too, Mr "named after cat's keyboard wanderings" ;) . I was great at it (in my memory, anyway, although I had a lot of time on the sidelines to daydream, lol)

If we can keep our main strikers fit, I would be very happy with Origi, Ings, Sturridge and Firmino, with Ojo pushing then too, as, as one poster said a few days ago, he has the "Michael Owen aged 17" pace to burn, which would be a great asset to have on the bench to come on against tiring legs.

Remember, due to injuries, we have yet to see what Ings and Origi can achieve - obviously we know what we're getting from Studge due to the (relatively) injury free 13/ 14 season. Therefore, we can't really tell whether they will work or not with Klopps preferred system of play. However, to my eye, they have both shown that they can be very effective in a Klopp team, so deserve to be given a fair crack in the team in pre-season and the first half of next season.

As I said, in my view, the most important thing wed can do with our strikers is understand the nature of their injuries, bring them back into the fold slowly and work with them to minimise the chance of further injuries. Given how Klopp has coaxed Studge back to fitness, I don't think we need to worry that he will rush anyone back and risk their longer term fitness.

13.) 16 Mar 2016 16:04:25
Just been looking at klopps comments about Allan. (young Brazilian) . This lad looks good. but we can't get a permit for him yet. I'm puzzled as to why. anyone got any Answers? And maybe he'll be playing up front for us soon!

14.) 16 Mar 2016 16:56:57
Allan has played as a DLP and has shwon promise as a box-to-box midfielder too in his current loan, according to a few reports. He's only 19, so don't expect him to be in the first team very soon!

Work permit rules state (I think, please correct me if wrong, Eds! ) that a player (who is not an EU national) has to have played at least 75% of the competitive games for their country in the previous 2 years, and their country needs to be ranked in the top 70 in the world. Clearly, Brazil meet the ranking criteria, but Allan won't have played in the requisite number of games for the senior Brazil team given his age and relative inexperience.

However, the rules did change in the last year which mean that players within a top 10 country only need to have played for 30% of the competitive games, and there's a sliding scale (%age goes up as ranking goes down) . But still, Allan won't have met the criteria.

So, his case will be taken to an appeals panel which will take into account their wages, the standard of the league they have come from and their transfer fee.

Basically, anything that can help prove that Allan is a special talent that is worthy of an exception to the above rule will be taken into account, hence him being selected for Brazil U-20s recently will help to show that he is amongst the best 15-20 players for his age group in a country rated amongst the top-10 nations in the world.

Ed002 (I think) has said that Liverpool's case to the appeals panel is quite strong anyway, so hopefully we can see Allan pull on a red shirt for a competitive game in the near future.

As an aside, the rulings do mean that Premier League clubs end up paying a lot more for youngsters from outside the EU as it means we have to typically wait until they are established (and therefore are representing their country regularly) before being able to buy. Some clubs, like Chelsea, try to bypass this by working with clubs like Vitesse where they can buy a youngster and park them on loan until they either develop (and meet the international criteria) or don't, in which case they will typically still make a profit as they were bought so young, and therefore relatively cheaply.

I understand why we have the rule - to encourage more home grown players to get a chance - but we still allow EU players, which will hinder. IMO, the rules should be the same for all European Leagues so that we don't, unfairly, suffer.

Sermon over!

{Ed002's Note - Sorry Z this is light years from correct. The WP requirements have changed significantly. There will be no appeal at this time. Being called up to the U20 squad is encouraging but he will need a number of games under his belt. It may be possible for next season, it may not.

Premier league teams do not know more and Chelsea are not bypassing anything.

If you want the rules the same for all European leagues then say goodbye to all of the benefits the English sides get (massive financial benefits for example). Much of the rest of Europe want a level playing field and the English clubs are the ones against it.}

15.) 16 Mar 2016 17:25:05
Fair enough, my bad Ed002! Thanks for putting me right.

{Ed002's Note - Remind me to explain the revised rules over the weekend.}

16.) 16 Mar 2016 22:55:09
A fair playing field? Really? What about all th shady deals every other club outside England can get away with? 3rd party ownership, signing players under certain ages? Dodgy transfer fees? Paying with potato's (joke)

But seriously we dint have a huge financial advantage, for example ed has already stated in many occasion Bayern trump us and then there's Psg, Barca, both Madrid's, Valencia, Dortmund. They all throw the leagues money in our faces but were not really that much better off and we should pay more just Ti compete with Spain's weather!

What's people's thoughts on Jordan Ibe, do you think he will fulfil his potential or do you think he will stagnate in his progress.
I think a loan to a premiership side would do him the world of good but do fear for him with the likes of Ojo and Kent coming through and also because it looks like Klopp sees the need for more wingers at the club (Markovic return)
Thanks guys.

Sparra120

1.) 15 Mar 2016 09:28:39
I think it's more a case of support for him, my feeling is he is a player that feeds off positive feedback I wish him every bit of success at liverpool. come on ibe son .

2.) 15 Mar 2016 09:37:16
What would a loan do for him expect put his development in the hands of someone with no stake in his future?

3.) 15 Mar 2016 09:46:12
I just think playing in the premiership for a year would give him the chance to develope and mature his game.
I don't see him getting the required minutes next season to do this with us as I think Ojo will take this and we will see a lot of him.
Hope I'm proved wrong and he can really push on but this should of been the year for Jordan to nail down a place.

4.) 15 Mar 2016 10:12:07
Hjikle

A loan would guarantee him at least 20-30 games a season which would wonders to any kid. You just have to be careful in choosing the right club.
Klopp would be looking for title next season and would field the strongest team possible every week. Ibe would be left out due lack of games.

5.) 15 Mar 2016 10:29:31
Agree with that, you could see the benefits in Ibes loan to Derby his game progressed with regular minutes.
Like you say though it's got to be the right club!

6.) 15 Mar 2016 11:06:56
He will be a first team regular next season and beyond.

7.) 15 Mar 2016 11:21:02
what about canos. He is class and i think he could become a brilliant player. Markovic for me i think will be a fans favourite next year if we keep him. Fast direct tricky and he might actually get to play in his position wahoo.

8.) 15 Mar 2016 11:33:22
Klopp had been saying to keep the best youngster at the club, not loan out to others.

9.) 15 Mar 2016 11:43:22
I've been mulling over Ibe the last few days, for me his form has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season, not because I think he's no good but because I was so excited about him last summer and this has been a pretty awful year for him.

The lad has talent, pace and athleticism, last year in the lower standards of the Championship this allowed him to score a few goals but even then he wasn't creating much which, as a winger, I think is more important.

I expect he found youth football easy, he could do everything on his own and had little need to develop his movement, teamwork and interplay, that's no longer enough and he needs to develop that side of his game. If he can do that then he still has a brilliant future but it won't be easy. I'd keep him at Liverpool training with the first team but consider him a top youth prospect instead of as a squad player and give him game exposure accordingly. Give him all of next year to develop and then look at his progression next summer.

10.) 15 Mar 2016 11:58:53
Loan will guarentee him gametime will it? You mean like Ilori and Wisdom? Or like Bampford got with his Crystal Palace loan?

Loans guarentee nothing and past the point where players are really just getting their first professional minutes at any level under their belt, do not provide the value of being with the manager who actually knows how they want you to play. Ibe would only suffer long term from a season out on a fairly pointless loan.

11.) 15 Mar 2016 12:06:05
Notdeluded great shout on Canos, I should of mentioned him when included Ojo and Kent.
That's the problem I see with Ibe is that with these 3 prospects coming through and also Markovic who is around the same age as Ibe, I fear for Ibe as he should of pushed on more with being around the first team this year.
Like I said hope I'm wrong because like Muscatred mentioned I was excited to see Ibe this year and have been left disappointed.

12.) 15 Mar 2016 13:06:27
That's why it has to be the right loan move, for every Ilori there is a Harry Kane, who had 2 or 3 loans before making the grade.
Ibe won't learn anything in under 21s next year, needs to add maturity to his game and at the moment I think Ojo is catching up.

13.) 16 Mar 2016 07:52:56
You know that Kane struggled for gametime on his loans, failed to impress and the only reason Spurs didn't sell him before he starting making an impact in the Europa league was because they couldn't find a buyer right? The list of failed loan moves that do no justice to our players is endless vs the actual useful ones - and it's the same with most clubs. Look at Stewart as the most recent one - so anonymous on his loans that we barely even recognised the name when he played but boy what a player! Loans are not the answer for every young player having a few rough games.

I actually think if we qualify for champions league and he had the lure of CL football for potential targets then next year is the one he needs to deliver.
Yes he made a massive error talking up of winning the league to the owners, should of kept his mouth shut on that one.
But that aside I tho k taking that squad of players and into the champions league would be a step forward that we needed as we as fans should be realistic about the expectations of winning the league with the squad we have had and the fact we haven't won the damn thing in over 20 years.

there is nothing better to watch than neymar beating a man to gain advantage, he also in that game before he started rubbing it in, got whacked a few times. So is that him saying I'm still here, come get it.
Personally I love it
These players grew up in a different culture, street football in Brazil where taking the P I double S is the norm.
That saying don't knock the skill out of these players or they will basically end up English.

Mix Rafas defence and midfield with BRs attack then that would be a side
Reina
Arbeloa, carra, hyypia, auerlio
Mascherano, alonso
Gerrard
Suarez, Sturridge, coutinho.

He performed well at the (worse euros) ever, do you gamble on that stat.
