My bad eds was meant to say if an offer came in for Lallana do you think with the current squad we could afford to let him go and re-invest the funds at LB i think the club has to look to experienced LB obvs i'm looking to Hector, Thoughts?

{Ed002's Note - It is all whatif questions - I have no interest in such matters.}

I don't think the club really need to sell to much to buy a left back. It is clearly a position that will be addresses weather anyone comes in with offers for our players or not. I myself would not be too quick to sell Lallana, he has quite a bit to offer, as a senior player now. There are others such as milner I would sell faster but as the eds have said. Nobody is untouchable in this squad. If an offer comes in the club feels is right they would be open for a sale.

I would definitely. He is not first choice anymore and would definitely block Ojo's career.

Surely there are other player who should be moved out before lallana . I think Klopp really rates him and can't see him moving this season .

It would be foolish to let Lallana go. He is a good player, just needs support and another season to work on his end product.

Yeah, others should leave before Lallana imo but he is by no means indispensable. If the right offer comes the club would be foolish not to consider it given he is - form and injuries permitting - not looking like first choice at the minute. He does need to work on his end product, he seems to lose his head at crucial moments in attack, but he is a hard worker and maybe he can develop that side of his game. He's also not a player we'd necessarily have to replace externally, Harry brought up Ojo and we're yet to see how Markovic performs in preseason.

Red win, Mane will force him to the bench on the right wing which leaves Lallana and Milner on the bench so what is he doing here on the bench with his stupid wages? He is not better than Coutinho and Firmino at the playmaker position nor is he a scorer like them so again, what is he doing here? Conclusion? There will be nothing foolish about letting a player so well paid yet so ineffective leave, my friend.

Lallana doesn't have stupid wages, does he? Only little more than half what Benteke and Milner are on, I believe. I think it would be a ridiculous decision to sell Lallana for any less than we paid for him, when on form the la is a class act, and by all accounts a model professional, too.

Lallana is a great squad player to have, I imagine if firmino coutinho and mane are all fit then lallana will be coming on for one of them during the match, or the striker if he puts firmino upfront.

Who do we play if one of coutinho firmino and mane are injured?

Who do we play against 'lesser' teams when one of firmino coutinho and mane need a rest?

Lallana does press from the front and I think he will be a great super sub next season, he can easily come on and affect a match with his fresh legs and his hardworking attitude.

He is experienced and if he took an extra hour a day after training and did some shooting practice I think he could really reach the next level.

Obviously, shouldn't forget that competition for places is a good thing.
