I hope Klopp starts Kolo and lovren ahead of Skrtel, I don't think my heart could take watching Skrtel in such an important game on thursday. As much as I like Martin, at times he can be a liability in my opinion and for me Kolo is head and shoulders above him, Kolo brings calmness to the back 5 but Skrtel (in my opinion) does the opposite, The southampton game springs to mind.
If not Kolo and Lovren then hopefully Lucas and Lovren but please not Skrtel.
Would like to know other peoples opinion on what a centre back pairing should be on thursday? Especially the eds, if you have time. :)

I was delighted when we signed Kolo and couldn't believe Bodgers played Skrtel over him. He has a EPL winners medal, so he was more than good enough and still is imo. I think kolo and agger started the first ten game of the season when we came 2nd and i think we kept a fair phew clean sheets, then Skrtel got back in and our defence became dire again. Just shows you how good Klopp is, because even I could tell Kolo was / is better than Skrtel but Bodgers and his staff couldn't, well they did for first 10 games or so. Am I right?

I'd rather we didn't shop for well know Prem players given their inflated fees, I think we could do better shopping in the foreign leagues. Firmino, Coutinho, Alonso, Torres, Suarez, All from abroad and all were good value for money, even Firmino I'd say is now a £50million player, just to mention a phew.
I trust Klopp will find some nice cheap rough diamonds.

Hopefully Lucas will keep his place at cb and form a strong partnership with matip. I think he deserves a run in the starting 11.

I agree hendo got sucked in and left the space on the edge of the box. But he is still learning and I think the defensive side of his game is already better than Gerrard was in the holding role. Hopefully hendo will learn from that and I'm glad he made the mistake in a game already won. He will learn and get better. I can see Henderson finally getting the recognition he deserves. I see hendo, holding the prem in my head right now.

So you think klopp will put firmino in midfield? No chance. Hendo can wijnaldum lallana will be the midfield 3 with one to come on off the bench. Sturridge is only good as a central striker but for me firmino is better. Origi played great in Mane's position against spurs. Moving firmino out wide is the only way to accommodate sturridge but we would then lack pace out wide. Every game sturridge has started we looked crap. Against Watford was probably sturridges best display so far. For me Origi will take Mane's place when he goes to ACON and sturridge will remain on the bench. I wouldn't mind us splashing the cash in January on another winger of Mane's quality will only give us more options off the bench and a stronger squad depth. If firmino gets injured and sturridge has to play 90 mins every week with Origi playing rw then I think it makes sense to buy another winger.

Lallana is a great squad player to have, I imagine if firmino coutinho and mane are all fit then lallana will be coming on for one of them during the match, or the striker if he puts firmino upfront.
Who do we play if one of coutinho firmino and mane are injured?
Who do we play against 'lesser' teams when one of firmino coutinho and mane need a rest?
Lallana does press from the front and I think he will be a great super sub next season, he can easily come on and affect a match with his fresh legs and his hardworking attitude.
He is experienced and if he took an extra hour a day after training and did some shooting practice I think he could really reach the next level.
Obviously, shouldn't forget that competition for places is a good thing.
