Sturridge, Benteke, Ings, Sinclair, Yesil? Plus Origi, Firmino, Ibe, Kent and Milner all capable of playing there.

Benteke, Firmino, Ibe and Kent are all available now and Sturridge, Origi and Milner are due back soon (Milner actually started out as a striker at Leeds and played there for Man City last season) . Yesil and Ings back in the summer. Sinclair admittedly will leave thanks to his choice of agent.

Balotelli as well EMS, unfortunately. We have no lack of strikers and arguably quite a few more than most. Whether they are of the requisite quality or not is a separate question.

No offence. I take your point that we have plenty who can play up top but i'd rather play sakho up top than milner.

Milner!? What do you think they're smoking over there in the East Midlands? 😉.

The same Milner who led the line against Bayern Munich last year and got a goal? I'm not saying our options are ideal or world class. The original poster is insinuating that there is nobody to call on though when we have £70m of talent available for todays game in Benteke and Firmino.

We need to sell at least one of Sturridge, Benteke or Ings if we wish to sign yet another out and out striker. Some would even argue Origi is a striker although I think he is better on the left of an attacking 3.

We have options. We can't just sign players to cover injuries. That is financially irresponsible and will only cause bigger issues in the future. Do you lot not read Ed002's replies? We are in debt and already have more striker options than most teams in the league.

We have only just sold/ loaned Borini, Lambert, Aspas, Alberto, Sterling and Balotelli less than 6 months ago. Not to mention Suarez and Carroll less than 18 months ago.

When are we going to finally accept that our problem is just as much to do with service as it is the strikers we are going through like hot dinners? The only strikers we've had who were successful, created their chances themselves or for eachother; Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge. We need to start looking at lack of creativity and stop scapegoating our strikers as the sole problem. Henderson sets up more goals than any other player in the team and he has been injured. Meanwhile Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana have been playing like Donkeys. Did you guys know that Milner and Moreno are our two highest chance creators in the league this season? That is shocking. A left back and an underperforming midfielder are creating more chances than about £80m of attacking midfielders. We've been useless as a team for far too long and Klopp isn't going to fix the average team Rodgers left behind in a quarter of a season. So let's just stop using scapegoats and accept that nobody has been good enough.

Strikers used to come to Anfield and be worshipped and supported like heros. And they responded by giving us 100%. Now they get slaughtered if they take more than 5 games to start banging goals in. It's getting ridiculous. The criticism isn't even constructive.

May I please just mention to EMS that Milton Keynes is in the South East, not the East Midlands (if I recall correctly that you said you live in MK) .

We had no problems when we had Suarez and Sturridge, it's just a combination of bad luck with injuries and poor signings.
I hope if Origi can be played more once fit to gain experience then kick on for next year really when the whole team will have gained fitness and accustomed to Klopp and his tactics. He appears hungrier and a better fit than Benteke at present.
I was thinking a short term loan for a proven striker might be needed but on reflection let's give our current squad more experience and time instead.

Shelvey lead the line for us too, doesn't mean he's a good choice.
