I hope this is true, it would be great to see someone who knows where net is in a red shirt again. Everyone pays over the odds I'm not concerned about that. The club wouldn't pay the money if they couldn't afford it.

It'd be close to £40m if we are to meet their valuation so surely we wouldn't pay that much!
Anyway, ed002 said we'd only buy if the right player came available at the RIGHT price so if we have to pay over the odds I can't see it happening.

Cant see this getting done myself as the edd 2 has said he won't be moving as the owner is not willing to let him leave. Edd usually gets it spot on!

I personally don't care who we sign and how much they cost I just wanna see us play some decent football and score more goals . If this texeira lad helps with that sign him up if we can afford him. Obviously the club think they can hence the bid so I for 1 hope we sign the lad as he looks a real player.

If the price is right he will be sold. Everybody barring Messi and Ronaldo has their price. To liverpool or someone else I've no idea.

Apparently he has said he wants to join liverpool and that they can sort out a deal. The owner never said he was not willing to let him leave, he's just the richest person in the country so is not desperate to sell, he will wait for the right price/ deal.
