Morning eds 1st time poster jw wiv milan agreeing a fee for bacca do u see us matching the offer or going for other targets would have loved him at anfield next season thanks

The reality of it is Benteke wants to leave Villa, a compromise is likely to be reached on the fee. I just hope we can adapt or adapt him into our style of play. Having said that he isn't just a scorer of headers from crosses into box, I think he will do good with creativity behind him.

Following the reports that Carlos Bacca has agreed economic terms with AC Milan, the response from his current club Sevilla has been swift.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the Europa League winners have stood firm, just as they have done throughout all the speculation about the future of the Colombian striker.
AC Milan had hoped to reduce the asking price, or perhaps include central defender Adil Rami in a part-exchange deal, given Sevilla have shown an interest in moving for the Frenchman.
However, The Italian giants have been told clearly that Sevilla will only let Bacca leave, if the full €30 million release clause valuation is met in full. The Spanish club refuse to enter into any negotiations. Any bidder must pay that clause in its entirety.
How true this is I have no idea.

I don't know if I'm as confident as you are on Benteke. His link up play and pass completion rate are poor. I can imagine him over hitting passes and looking out of place, but I will back him if he does arrive. We haven't exactly bought out and out wingers so far though to indicate any change of style. In saying all this Bacca is not exactly a a great passer either but he makes brilliant off the ball runs and is pretty clinical.

Benteke's flat is up for sale in Sutton Coldfield. Looks like he is on the move, hopefully not up the M6 to Liverpool.

Have a look at Benteke's goals last year on youtube and show me one that is set up by a traditional winger.
Lots from crosses from the attacking full back granted - but we have those in Moreno and (soon) Clyne.
Whats wrong with having a threat from corners and free kicks into the box? You'll also see on the video his pace to get in behind and that he does like to pull on the shoulder of the last defender.

Jus read on sky sports tht the teixeira deal is pretty much dead as we dnt look like agreeing a fee for him really gutted was hoping it would cum off but the eds had it spot on fingwts crossed it tho.

Quite quiet on the teixeira front now for a few days just wondering if u have an idea on if and when we meant to be making this so called improved bid which in all honesty will likely be rejected straight away as it sounds like were still about 10mil from wt they want thnx eds also if we do manage to sign him do u see tht being the end of any of our current squad.

Quick question ed002 if klopp has the final say over transfers and he would prefer praet Y are the club trying so hard to get teixeira thnx eds.

Whilst he has the final say on whether or not he wants a player at the club he is part of a much larger process that will look at many targets and will look to investigate options. It is not a case of Klipperty having a list of three or four preferred targets and it is them or no one.}
