Thought it was about time I expressed my opinion.

I've been reading this sight since around 2009.

Haven't posted before but feel the need to get some stuff off my hairy chest.

I must firstly caveat this by saying I do value people's opinion but these are some causes of my current frustrations.

1st point;

Does it really matter if the team 2 games in isn't playing great football? To me at any stage the answer is no, regardless of winning 6 0 an having 90% possession you still get 3 points.

2nd point;

The manager, club staff, sponsors,other fans or other clubs which seem to be the target of people's anger/accusations or frustrations. I just wish some fans would grow up a bit an stop attacking all the above for perceived failings, what ever they maybe. It all pales into insignificance really for this reason, a true fan will always support the club/manager/players regardless of personnel opinion. I would think most people who post (recently) were not STOOD yes you did read that right STOOD on the KOP watching rush, barnes, Dalglish Et Al but continue to harp on about"back when". History although important is what it says it was yesterday's news, in my opinion we should be pushing or hearts an souls behind the team/club to try HELP the current LFC make some history instead of embarrassingly banging on about 5 European cups 4 of which were won before people like me really understood the significance of winning it. An I'm bloody 39. Which leads me into my next point.

3rd point;

It's my personnel opinion that over the last 4 seasons the crowd has let the team down quite significantly (with the exception of 2013/14 season) most of our fans harp on about how crap some fans are such as arsenal Chelsea man utd etc, well to be honest Anfield has been shocking over recent times for atmosphere. If the majority of people have as much lip in the ground as they do on sights like this then we'd be in a good place AGAIN. it concerns me that as a club we are missing out on and not instilling a good ethos in the NEW GENERATION of fan.

And my final point is more of a request to the great unwashed. I for one rely on this sight for information regarding club affairs not only my own club but every club listed on this site. As a football fan I appreciate every effort made by editors and contributing fans from ALL clubs Wether they're a UTD fan or a grimsby fan. Due to work commitments I find myself in the armpit of the world for long periods of my life, without this site and the people who run it an contribute to it we would ALL miss out. So to the very few stop embarrassing yourselves appriciate what people are GIVING you for FREE. Take what your given this is the most informative site around. We're given on a daily basis information from within the game, not written by a headline grabbing monkfish employed by a red top.

P.s to all the keyboard warriors I don't care much for grammar so keep your little fingers busy an go bully the little kids on twitter who have a bigger IQ than you will ever have.

Not mentioned to be offensive or bitter in anyway. Guess I'm a little fed up with unappreciative bell ringers ruining threads of information for others.

Regards

ray-von

Can't say I disagree with any of that.

Very well put mate, I'm sure there are many more readers who feel your frustrations and just don't post for whatever reasons. The only thing I'd like to comment on is that you are absolutely spot on about the atmosphere inside Anfield being a shadow of its former self.

Nobody expects the Chelsea 05 atmosphere every week but fans need to realise that their vibes either good or bad directly affect the players on the pitch. I've heard lots of arguments about who's to blame, day trippers, older fans, season ticket holders etc and it's up to every section of the fan base to try do there bit if they are lucky enough to attend a game.

I travel from Ireland 4/5 times a season to watch games and if we can somehow get ourselves back to the support of the second half of 13/14, then the players will no doubt get a big lift. You can say the players need to do their bit but let's be honest which is more fun from a fans point of view, attending a game and sitting there with a negative attitude or showing up a bit early to welcome the team and sing, cheer and help create an environment that will make Anfield a fortress again.

I totally agree with Ray-Von, I have noticed the difference in atmosphere at Anfield and I live 12000 miles away. you can hear the away fans far more than the Kop.Use your anger/frustration at Brenda or whoever for good rather than evil on the keyboard and scream your lungs out as you are very privileged to be there watching the greatest team in the world in the greatest stadium in the world. let's get positive.
ps please don't mention the ashes its going to hurt for a long while.
Cheers
Reddo

I was stood on the KOP watching those players lad,not sure what that had to do with any of your points. 1. Do you go the game? If so do every home game you try and get some songs going? 2. Did you get fully behind hodgson and never moan or complain about him? 3. Did you get fully behind hicks and gillett and never complain about them? Think this post was purely to get some post of the day replys from the BR fanboys, me myself I will continue to highlight problems at MY CLUB because I care what happens at it and about it's future.

5.) 20 Aug 2015 07:34:43
To me 3 years gone and i can't see on which area did BR improved. I personally would be happy to have someone else like Klopp to replace BR.

6.) 20 Aug 2015 13:54:09
I'm sorry ray-van but there are a number of things I just don't agree with.

The main point though is the insistence that people should blindly support everything associated with the club. If that was the case then we would have still been stuck with the two cowboys and this club probably wouldn't exist anymore by now.

And we would probably still be stuck with Roy to.

In response to a couple of posts,

One of the reasons why our support was always a cut above the rest was out passion and our belief that we as fags could affect the opponents and increase belief amongst our own. The fear amongst some fans is it has gotten to the point of being very militant and vengeful the green eyed monster is starting to rear it's head.

As for questions regarding Hicks an Gellete I did support them WHEN they were buying alonso mascherano Torres and others yes I did BUT toward the end when i became apparent what they were doing in a bussiness aspect I never. As fir Hodgson I firmly believe he would have gotten us into champions league places given the time and funding but he got neither, the football an results determined that along with shute purchases but he could only piss with the dick he had.

To equate the current state of play with the above is neither accurate or helpful. Look at the money and the stability in the game that's what gets you to the top what we as fans can do is give the club a massive leg up when games are dull to spare them on a little more an when we win we win regardless of performance. The season before last we started the same as this season very patchy until late Oct Nov time.

As for it being your club not really it's the owners club who are trusted to keep it on track an sometimes that means not appeasing deluded fans. There are millions in our position who love the club not just a few who feel a sense of entitlement.

As for wanting post of the day comments NO I'm not a narcosist so keep them for your own militant opinions.

Cheers

I have to agree re the anfield atmosphere, it was very quiet last Monday

9.) 20 Aug 2015 17:19:14
You see that's the problem with your argument.

You where happy with hicks and Gillette until you felt that there was a problem. Why is that any different to the feelings some people have against Rodgers per se. Three years in charge. Two big failures and one big missed opportunity (which was by in large attributable to a genius of a footballer {if not a complete nob} and a style of football we have since wholly abandoned). Weighing that up with the money we have pee'd against a wall and some, whether you agree or not, would feel that constitutes a problem. They then express their opinion of that problem.

Why does having an opinion mean you aren't supporting the team. I support the team both vocally (when I'm there) and financially. I get behind them 100% and when the match is finished I come on here and vent any feelings I have. Or in the pub. Or at work. Whatever. Surely that's the beauty of football. We all have different opinions on how it should work and what should be done to fix it. We read about football and we talk about it that's why we are here.

Yes there are some complete tools on this site at times but that should not stop what is a fabulous forum for discussion. It is what it was set up for in the first place.

As for the anfield atmosphere my advice would be for the ticket prices (in my dreams I know) to be reduced. That would probably open the ground up again to not only more families (reaching that younger generation) but also those who care deeply who are priced out of the game.

Ray-von, a bit like your sign in name your a comedy character, " hodgson given time and resources would have got us into the champions league ", and " you backed hicks and gillett when they were buying Torres mascherano and alonso ", you couldn't right that kind of comedy, oh wait you just did.

I agree here that he threw them under the bus, , however I would argue it shows a ruthless side of him an that can only be applauded hopefully it turns out to be a new side of him. In any field of employment the ruthless succeed. I'd like to see him limit some of his press loving though he sounds like something off a 3rd rate motivational show. However I'm happy with the new backroom team. Let's see hopefully we've turned a corner. Regarding celebrating a draw I can see both sides I think the best way to look at this is from the celebration side people were happy not to get turned over therefore being blinded by what was in the 1st half a wasteful performance. And from the other side I guess the old an bold were maybe disappointed with having to only be content with the pragmatic approach of the team instead of a more ruthless cutting edge that we should have seen keys face it we should be a little disappointed in hindsight, we really should have won the game. I do think it bodes well the result at the Emirates. Our problem now is weer should hammer the irons on Saturday let's see how weer follow this up.
