Sorry if it’s a silly question, but are there times when agreements are made by clubs, where hypothetically Liverpool want N Williams and Barcelona want Diaz, so Barcelona agree to step away from the N Williams deal if they can take Diaz.

I think Barcelona want Williams as their top target and see Diaz as a back up in case they cannot afford the deal. So I don't think they'd step away whilst there's a chance they can get Williams.

ED002 did Barcelona manage to do enough to allow them to spend 1:1 now or are they still limited 4:1?
