Might be time to move TAA into the midfield but I kind of feel we will trade solidity for fluidity, which I find a bit worrisome. I'd wait to see what it looked like for him in the England midfield before making up my mind whether he's really worth the midfield hype.

Arne Slot plays an inverted meaning one of your full back is coming into the midfield anyways. What else are you suggesting?

The only manager who so far seems to see Trent as a midfielder is Southgate.
And he doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

The amount of flack Joe Gomez gets in this website is frankly ridiculous.
Homegrown international player still fairly young who can cover every position at the back and allows you to change and adjust formations on the fly.
Cant play centre back? Memory serves me well Liverpool won their last premier league with him playing there.
Not at his best now? No worries, he will do a job on at full back. Or have we all forgotten how much solid the team looked during his stretch of games on the left without Robbo?
Never mind. people is more focussed on getting a new fancy name these days. To the point they will ignore his versatility, solid performances or even his real height. Anything that suits their opinion/ agenda
Hopefully Slot knows his football and appreciated Joe for what he is; a proven international player who works hard for the team and can help you to win in multiple ways.

How solid are we with TAA at right back? I really rate him but he's not the best defensively in a defence that was fragile last season.
He can play in midfield or at right back but where he does would depend on the other players around him.
We also have Bradley, who is the best of the youngsters at the club, that can play right back.
I would play them both.
