I can’t believe how good Szoboszlai is. His combination of technical quality, running power and team-mindedness is unlike anything I’ve ever seen play for us. There is a De Bruyne-level player in there, I’m absolutely certain of it.

Nice one, Ed. We played some good footie and got the win. Macca is not suited for the deeper role BUT it seems we are employing a double pivot with him and Szobo (love Bellingham BUT this kid is THAT dude) right now in the short term till Endo gets up to speed, IMO cos we all know what Macca brings to the table further forward as we saw with that sublime chip that is only matched by the finish from Darwin.

As for Salah, he seems to be enjoying playing with these young pups like Darwin (absolute baller, IMO), Diaz, Jota and Gakpo who IMO, re essentially his legs. What he cannot get to, they can so he is now their facilitator and his creativity is showing even more, not like he never had it. Unto Spurs.

Edd001 when will you be doing a write up on Henderson? You said you'd get round to it. His career, his best attributes as a player captain and your opinion on his departure. Would be a great read for the fans especially with the way he left and his imo slightly distasteful interview. Thanks mate.

Have you been watching Szobo before he sign for us Ed? I haven't watch much of him except his free kick compilation. Two things that suprise me the most is his long range passing is better than what I thought it would be and how quick he is. Never thought that he would be that that quick plus a speedy CM is a rare breed.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, Ed77 watched a lot more of him though, but we had discussed him between us a few times. He rates him as the best striker of the ball around at the moment. That is why I was so excited when we moved for him, he was a player that I never expected to move for another season or two. It does help that he was a Liverpool fan as a kid. That always makes me keep an eye out for them.}

Ed001, you forget to mention he assisted that offside goal. No matter at what part of the ground he is in, we can expect him to produce a top class pass to start the attack. That pass to Salah was too good. He is like combination of Gerrard and Hendo IMO.
