Ed0666 I see in a post you would like to see Bobby leave this summer, am not sure how much we would get for him now not too much I guess. I think he has played well this season but he hails been effected by injuries a lot this season I hope it's just a one off I can't remember him suffering in the past to much with injuries so I would give him at least another year.
I think both Williams Phillips Ox Minamino need to go. I would like Jota and Naby to go as well but I think that would be too many for one window.
In defence I think only the young lad from Aberdeen needs to come for cover. I would like 2 midfielders Tchouameni and somebody like James Maddison to add goals from midfield and an number 9 Darwin Nunez would be great if Jota and Naby where to leave a right sided forward and maybe another midfielder but I think we should be ok without one with the young lads coming through.

{Ed0666's Note - I think we need to evolve more than is considered reasonable. We need at least 4 players, cover for Trent, two midfielders and at least one forward if not two. Klopp has a project to tend do and I for one am looking forward to the results. It’s gonna be a magical mystery tour that’s for sure.

The evolution has started with Konate, Carvalho, Elliott and Diaz I would say. Jury will be out on Curtis and Jota for another season. Will also be interesting to see what steps Kaide Gordon takes next. He was electric in his cameos this season.

Sadio, Ox, Origi, Taki appear to be on their way out. Big decisions to make on Naby and Bobby this summer. Also a big decision to take on system as we need more goal threat through the middle - including more free tick/ long range shooting threats.

Personally would like Milly to stay with us to help the new generation with professional standards and mentality. But maybe Hendo is adequate to do that in the squad.

Nunez, Phillips and Mount will do for this window, take a look at where we are in Jan if something else is missing, sell off the usual suspects and i'd be tempted to maybe sell Salah for Bownen, not sure on this big contract for him.

I have a sneaky feeling that we might sit tight this summer regarding the attacking group and instead we strengthen the midfield.

Up front we have Bobby, Jota, Diaz, Mo. Taki may go, but I would love for him to stay and be given a real shot. He offers so much life to the attacking group and he is desperate to prove himself. But even if he is sold in the summer we still have Carvalho coming an and Elliot who is really an attacking player.

I see that there may be a chance we go into the season with that group and then re-assess heading into Jan.

I can see your logic, Faithinworks. For me though, there is absolutely no way we lose Mane, Origi and Minamino from our forward options and sign nobody. Carvalho and Elliott in my opinion are more Ox Keita replacements. They can cover iniuries to the frontline though for sure.

Diaz, Jota and Salah compete for the wide areas. Bobby and a new signing compete for the centre forward role. I think our success this season in all competitions (coupled with the new 5 sub rule next season) has really driven home the need for 5 top forward options.

Faith if qe were to not sign an attacker it could be dangerous for us as we will lose at least 3 of the front line (all be it a couple who hardly play) but we will be left with nobody to cover for rotation or injuries.

Ed0666 Yeah we have one forward come in all ready Ed I think Fábio Carvalho can cover Diaz so need to add a striker to replace Mane and if we could get a bite on Jota that would be great to get somebody like the Antony from Ajax to cover Salah and get ready to replace him next season as I don’t see him signing now.

I really do not see us making wholesale changes, as it would be a kneejerk reaction. It was a somewhat disappointing ending but we challenged on all fronts so there is clearly a great deal of quality in this squad. I hope we can sway Mane to stay as he is critical for me.

I do agree Ed that midfield could do with refreshing. I hope we add another DM to relieve Fabinho at times and another goalscoring midfielder. Whether Jones or Elliott can step, we'll have to wait and see. Personally I think they can become useful squad players but not really hit the level we're looking for (elite first teamer) . That being said, they're both young and have potential so let's see how they get on.
