Ed001 I see a post comparing Fabinho to Kovacic both play different position, and how he dominated are midfield last time we played if I am not mistaken was the other cup final the last game and I thought we controlled the middle off the park even with the very late injury to Thiago.
Ed my big worry is the last 2 games I do think all the games have caught up with us but it could be that we have been playing massive games with loads of pressure with 5/ 6 changes a game so being far from are strongest what I am hoping did think the last 2 games Robbo played he looked like he needed a rest so am glad he never took part against villa.

The amount of games might be a problem, but great teams get results no matter. If we are as good as we like to think, we should be able to raise ourselves for these games.}

I’m assuming he’s referring to the Stamford bridge game? Don’t think we got played off the park at all. Just lapses in concentration in a game we generally controlled.

Nerves are kicking in around the final now. Badly want this as we’ve not won it in 16 years!

For me we have been a country mile ahead of Chelsea this season and the league table proves that.

However in the 3 games we have played Chelsea they have turned up and matched us. I expect the same this weekend but I believe Chelsea have played us at their maximum whilst we still have another gear to find against them.

Saturdays going to be a tough game and we’ll need to turn up.

Fully agree, Ed01. Kovacic and Fab don't even play the same position in midfield BUT you know, it's Harry. For me, Kovacic has a lot of energy, good range, decent passing range and very athletic hence, has the tools to be a box to box mid. Fab has more natural, technical ability than him even at DM, better passing range hence, gets a decent amount of assists and is much more of a goal when he gets forward threat than Kovacic who is dreadful in front of goal, IMO.

As for the team going into the final games of the season, the amount of games are starting to hit us hard hence, we are a bit leggy, atm. As you said, this is not an excuse cos if we are as good as we think are then, we should be able to cope. After all, that's what got us here in the first place. On to Wembley.

I would agree with u jk23 on chelsea,2 league games they played us I thought they better team, league cup final 50/ 50.they where in v good form at the time of them games but they still didn't beat us. They not in as good of form now and I think we will beat them 2mo, but we have to score 1st. don't think it be in our legs at min to be chasing game with 10/ 15 mins to go.

I have never said they both play in the same position. Both are a massive miss for their team. Kovacic is a very good player 😀😀.

From memory and I’ve not done any research. The Anfield game we didn’t start brilliantly but grew into it after going behind and got a grip of the game then the handball and pen got us back into it and the second half Chelsea defended nearly all the second half

At Stamford bridge I thought we where very good and we started superb going 2-0 up but a wicked deflection got them back into the game but after the 2-2 I thought it was us going for the winner in the 2nd half .

The cup Final I didn’t enjoy as you don’t really tend to you just want to win . But I thought that was quite an even game both sides had big moments both sides had tight offsides and draw was probs fair and we managed to hold our nerve from the pens . That’s my take on it anyway.
