Best of luck to him ed025, he clearly loved the area and did a lot charity wise as did his Mrs. If you boys back him he will do well for you.

He gave us some good times so won’t hold it against him trying to get you back challenging for Europe. But the reaction from the majority in the Derby will be interesting.

Hes a very good manager there is no doubt in that so if your fans give him time (which i don't think they will) he could do well.

I mean I hope he doesn't ha but you could have done a lot worse, Rafa will work better with the players left behind than nuno would they suit a rafa system more.

Dont hold your breath he will be defense first that's for sure. Brings a chance of silverware that no doubt will be what the board is thinking.

Evertonains have been banging on about their mangers past 10 years but tbh Rafa will have them playing well. A little worried.

Like most Liverpool fans I love Rafa purely for 2005. I must admit I did despise the way we played football under him though.
The best way I could describe it is how I heard Paul Merson describe it once. Subbuteo Football. Everyone stays in their positions and they move up and down the pitch as one keeping gaps between players small. It was only Gerrard and Torres that gave us any threat whatsoever.
He was praised for keeping Newcastle up and then Steve Bruce has more than surpassed what Rafa did at Newcastle so it can’t have been that great an achievement.
I wish him well but I think it will go horribly wrong and the fans will be very quick to turn on him when it does because he’s a Liverpool legend. It’s like when George Graham went to Spurs. Destined for failure.
