Thanks again for these daily reports. Very very sad about Jeremy Winston and again highlights the mental health side of sport and the pressure on youngsters and fear of failure. Football ruthless at times for young players.

Is there anything from professional clubs Ed to deal with the depression youngsters would suffer from being released form clubs because they haven’t made it.
I know a lot of younger players are getting moves to other premiership clubs but the ones we don’t hear about who are released would clubs offer any support?

{Ed001's Note - to a degree there is, but it is very reliant on the youngster being ready to receive help and making it known, rather than having someone who keeps an eye on them and makes the effort for them. Which makes it about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.}

90% sure Rodgers was in charge, Robbie. He'd worked with him at Swansea.

I think we also considered him as emergency backup / experience last season when Alisson got injured, but went with Lonergan instead.
